1. HITBOX MIG Welder

Highlight: The HITBOX MIG Welder is a compact, high-performance machine designed for both beginners and professionals, offering smooth, stable welding with impressive power and portability for any project.
Supportive Review: My review is late because, I do not receive the item directly. I have a sort of post office box in Miami and the item is relay then to me. The person that receive the items, receive them for many other users. The tracking is very complex for me. So, I was updated by the person that received the item days later. Because of this I am not sure when USPS delivered. I am not going to question the delivery time.
The item seems very well made and the material seems of a very good quality. All the parts arrived and all in good shape. The buble wrapping kept things well take care of. -Cimarron
2. ARCCAPTAIN iControl MIG205 Pro MIG Welder

Highlight: The ARCCAPTAIN iControl MIG205 Pro MIG Welder delivers powerful, precise, and user-friendly performance, making it a top choice for DIY enthusiasts and professionals who demand reliable welding results on any project.
Supportive Review: This is a surprisingly good little 120V flux core/stick welder. I’ve used this welder for several projects and it has performed flawlessly. It has a decent duty cycle both flux core and stick. The only negative for this machine is that while it can run at 145A it will pop the 120V 20A circuit breaker after about 30 seconds.
It will weld flux core in synergic mode up to .120 steel thickness. It will weld 3/32 7018, 7014 rods at 90A with no problem. It’s best to use rods that will run on AC or DC as they run smoothly. It has insufficient open circuit voltage to run 6010 or 6011 rods. The ArcCaptain flux core wire E71T-GS runs very hot and well on this machine for single pass welds.
I have run 1/8 7018 rods on this machine at 125 A but I plug into a 120V 30A RV plug with an adaptor. The machine handles it for 1-2 rods but the cord gets warm so caution in advised. It feeds wire evenly but you have to be careful to adjust the tensions correctly. Overall, a very good little machine that is very light making it easily portable.
I have also run off my 8500 W generator with no problems so it can be used in the field. Again I sometimes use the 120V30A plug for higher amperage welds. For the price this is an excellent choice that I recommend. Final point is that the customer service was fast and responsive. I asked a few questions and always got an answer by the following morning. Good little welder! -Tom
3. LOTOS MIG225SP MIG Welder

Highlight: The LOTOS MIG225SP MIG Welder delivers powerful 220V performance with dual voltage capability, perfect for both professionals and DIY welders seeking precision and portability.
Supportive Review: I have been using it for about a month now, The overall machine is pretty large and heavy for IGBT, typically indicating a good quality components, MIG setup, and its synergetic settings are spot on.
I also got a TIG pedal and overall it works, what I can not understand is why gas solenoid doesn’t work in TIG mode and the TIG torch uses manual gas valve. LOTOS, this is stupid, you are putting a wooden carriage wheels on Maserati. I am going to open it up an see if I can make a mod to take advantage of the solenoid and pre.post flow settings.
Spool gun worked great for Aluminum fabrications. In the end, I can not imagine what I would not be able to weld with this machine. Just perhaps a fine aluminum TIF stacked dimes, but I can get close enough for me with its spool gun.
Aside from a The welder feels right Noticeably it is not being promoted on internet like Arccaptain, Yeswelder and Tooliom, but I think Lotos is better in every aspect than any of those (I had a Yeswelder and also have a Tooliom HF TIG) which are not bad, I just feel Lotos is a better quality welder. -Igrex
4. PrimeWeld 3-in-1 Welding and Cutting Combo

Highlight: The PrimeWeld 3-in-1 Welding and Cutting Combo delivers powerful MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting performance in one compact, reliable unit—perfect for professionals and DIY welders alike.
Supportive Review: This machine is a great value and works great for a hobbyist or beginner.
I had been happily using my CT520D for a number of weeks with no issues. Then, a hot part fell on and melted through the control pedal cord which was plugged into the machine.
This caused a short, and I could no longer select below 175 amps on the machine, even without the pedal plugged in (the machine still worked for welding at 175-200 amps, or plasma at 45-50 A). I contacted PrimeWeld and they very quickly sent me a replacement machine. Fantastic customer service! I recommend going with PrimeWeld just for this.
The machine is a great value and you can be sure that if you have a fault, PrimeWeld will take care if it with no hassles. I’ve been using it on my 30 amp, 240 volt dryer circuit. So far I have not tripped the breaker even when doing GTAW at 200 amps. Even without the pilot arc generator from the DP model, the plasma arc is easy to strike or restrike.
Unless you are planning to use it with a CNC table, the pilot arc is probably not worth the extra 25% cost, but it does allow you to use the torch stand-off clips and might be worth it if you plan to do a lot of cutting. For straight cuts, one can use a piece of wood to run the ceramic against and keep a stand-off.
My first machine only had the single gas input port, so I rigged up a T fitting and two ball valves to switch between compressed air through the included regulator or argon bypassing the reg. However, my replacement machine is the updated version with separate air and argon input hose barbs, so the valve arrangement isn’t necessary. Just get an argon regulator with a hose barb output. -Alex
5. YESWELDER MIG-205DS PRO MIG Welder

Highlight: The YESWELDER MIG-205DS PRO delivers powerful, dual-voltage MIG, TIG, and Stick welding performance in a compact, user-friendly design perfect for home and professional use.
Supportive Review: I’ve been putting together a metal building with this welder. Started off welding these columns I had. Half inch thick to half inch thick base plates. Put a bevel on them cranked Welder up to 26 1/2 V. Using flex core because I’m outside in a windy condition didn’t have any problems. Have been using it for about three months now ran about 25 pounds of wire through it.
All of a sudden the wire feed quit. Went through all the troubleshooting no help. I called customer service. They gave me some other ideas. Still no wire feed. They asked for some videos which I sent. They determined something faulty went wrong and said they were gonna send me a new one. Keep the old one. Took about three or four days to get the situation handled.
I’m gonna take the old one apart when I get a chance and see if I can figure out what happened to the wire feed. I mean, it just quit in the middle of a weld. If I can’t fix it at least I got extra parts for the new welder or if I can’t fix it I got an extra back up Welder. I’ll give an update on the original Welder when I get a chance. Other than that, the welder worked great I’ve been just using it in the manual mode because the automatic setting mode runs a little bit hot.
I wouldn’t call myself a professional welder, but for the last 50 years, I have built numerous projects with stick and mig welders. Mainly using Lincoln products. This Welder was really easy to set up. The only bad thing I could say is the welding clamp was one of them cheap ones, but they all come with the same thing. I bought a heavy duty brass one.
Also the power cord it comes out of is only a 12 gauge cord. I’m running a 50 amp breaker with 6 AWG SOOW extension cord that I got from prime weld which by the way is a hell of an extension cord. Anyway, the cord comes out of the welder gets a little bit warm if I’m welding a lot of really thick stuff. I got an 8 awg cord that I’m going to a fit to the new Welder.
I hope it doesn’t void the warranty. Other than that, this Welder does everything that I have asked for. At the time I bought it it had $120 discount coupon with it so I only paid about $450. I also bought their plasma cutter 65. When I took it out of the box, I tested it on a piece of scrap three three-quarter inch steel. It was a messy cut, but it cut it.
Cutting half inch is pretty clean. It easily cuts 3/8 pretty fast. Now I was using a 220 the whole time. I had to go cut some steel for a friend one day and we only had a 110 generator so I will say using the 110 does work but on using the 220 it works a lot better. But back to the 250 Pro I really like this Welder and if I had to buy another one, I would.
Especially since the warranty and customer service was so great. I mean for the price I paid if I weld with it every day with this thing and burned it up within a year warranty I guess they would’ve just sent me another one. So if you’re just hobby Welder or a small shop, Welder, I would definitely recommend this Welder. I mean if you go buy a Miller, you’re gonna spend 2000+ dollars. -Eric
6. ARCCAPTAIN 165A MIG Welder

Highlight: Compact and versatile, this 165A MIG welder delivers reliable performance for home, auto, and light industrial projects.
Supportive Review: I have been really impressed with the ArcCaptain MIG200 multi-process welder. I bought this welder as an upgrade and replacement for my old Millermatic 140 welder. This ArcCaptain welder has so much more versatility, adjustment, and power compared to the old basic transformer MIG welder I’m coming from.
The build quality is excellent, although it may not be as durable as a big name brand, but for DIY hobby use in the garage it will be more than tough enough.
The welder comes with almost everything you need to MIG or stick weld out of the box. The only items you’ll need to pick up are your MIG wire, shielding gas (unless you run flux-core wire), a gas regulator, or your stick welding electrodes.
The welder comes with extra MIG consumables and uses standard tweco style contact tips readily available. 3 different styles of wire drive rolls are provided; V-groove for solid wire, knurled groove for flux wire, and U-groove for aluminum wire. Unfortunately ArcCaptain appears to have a packaging issue though because even with 7 drive rolls included in the kit none of them have a groove sized for running 0.035″ (0.9mm) wire of any type. Hopefully they correct this issue in the future.
This welder welds nicely and creates an easy to control weld bead. I’m a little rusty with my handwork so the inconsistencies in my test welds were the result of my own travel speed issues and not the welder. The Synergistic MIG functionality is really nice and provides a really good starting point for MIG weld settings.
The one thing that ArcCaptain completely fails to mention in their user manual though is that when your in Synergistic mode you MUST set the AMPERAGE level appropriate for the material thickness being welded and then the machine will adjust the voltage and wire feed speed accordingly.
For any beginner, just follow this rule of thumb and use 1 Amp for ever 0.001″ of material thickness (ex. for welding 1/8″ thick steel start with the welder set to 125A in synergistic mode and adjust the voltage from there if the weld is too hot/cold for your liking).
My only minor complaints about the welder, aside from the missing 0.035″ drive rolls, are that ArcCaptain didn’t include a MIG setup chart sticker inside the door cover (which is standard practice on all MIG machines), and that the unit comes wired for 110V input and they provide a 110V to 220V adapter cable.
I think this practice of passing 220V through a 110V plug is poor design and may even be a violation of certain electrical safety codes. The better design would’ve been to have a 220V cable wired to the unit and adapt down to a 110V plug when needed.
Overall this ArcCaptain MIG200 welder is a great value for all of the functionality it provides. It provides many more advanced features typically reserved for welders 2-3X the price of this unit.
ArcCaptains support team has also been very helpful and responsive to my emails and the customer support is excellent for an international company. I’d highly recommend this welder to anyone looking for an excellent value multi-process MIG welder. -Kevin
7. ARCCAPTAIN 160A MIG Welder

Highlight: Compact, user-friendly, and powerful—perfect for home, auto, and light industrial welding projects.
Supportive Review: I’m going to start by stating that I am not a professional welder by any means, that having been said, this guy is very novice friendly. It’s very easy to setup, in fact I was ready to go in minutes.
When using it I was expecting it to not be as powerful due to its compact size, but don’t let it fool you. It’s very sturdy in its construction and for the almost 100 I spent, this device swings like a more expensive machine.
Haven’t used the strap that came with it so I don’t have much to say on it. The controls are also very easy to use and with the chart they include, selecting amps is very straightforward. -James Chance
8. YESWELDER MIG-140DS PRO MIG Welder

Highlight: The YESWELDER MIG-140DS PRO delivers smooth, reliable welding for home and auto projects, making it perfect for DIYers who want professional results without the hassle.
Supportive Review: Best 110 mig welder I have ever witnessed and or owned. I’m 67 years old and a retired welder and fitter and this machine is awesome. I built a yard table out of bedrails and scraps of square tubing with this machine. Very fast once you get the hang of not setting heat but wire speed. I love it super great value!
Update is welder is great but wire that came with welder was rusty about halfway into the roll and wire quit feeding. Luckily I had bought wire on sale and used air compressor to blow out the roller area and liner to get the rust out. A new roll of wire and I completed my welding job. -jimmy curtice jr
9. FORNEY Easy Weld 140 Amp

Highlight: The FORNEY Easy Weld 140 Amp is a beginner-friendly, lightweight MIG welder that makes home and auto projects effortless and reliable.
Supportive Review: I replaced an older DIY Chicago Electric 90 amp flux core wire welder with this upgraded welder. Both are 110v but the differences in quality is supreme. The seperate wire feed and voltage adjustments is the best feature. True 90 amps is all I need for welding 1/4″ steel. My recent project was a true test of its ability.
Light gauge outdoor garden spinner blade broke off and I was able to tack with low adjustments on the welder. I don’t have a tig welder so I had to weld with this welder. No burn thru. High wire speed and low voltage worked perfectly. My point, it’s perfect for light to mid fabrication in my home DIY projects.
Stick welding is nice but rods are expensive and not as easy to set up for light gauge. Every welder has their preference but this welder is convenient, easy to weld, easy to adjust and fast set up. Just turn it on and press the wire feed button. Nice! -Dan
10. AZZUNO MIG Welder 145A

Highlight: The AZZUNO MIG Welder 145A delivers reliable, easy-to-use welding power perfect for home projects and DIY repairs.
Supportive Review: I’m sure a small percentage of product gets through with issues and malfunctions, but when you look and critically think through the majority of three or four pages of reviews, statistically your chance of a good one is almost a given. The one I got works very well and I have not got a complaint one given the price point I paid for it and for what I bought it for.
I am building a 12’x24’ lean-too roof off the back of my shop. I have a very familiar and long time standing well respected MIG on and cart that will do solid or flux wire, it works great and is great inside the shop. Outside moving it around on the grass would be difficult and the 8’ leads would not have been long enough too reach the 10’ height of this new project.
This Azzuno 135pro has been perfect! It fits perfectly on top of my 8’ step ladder held on with two bungee cords, never have to remove it, just drag the ladder around reconnect the clamp to the project and start welding with the gun.
Everything is 14g metal C-purlin, 2×6 rectangular tubing, 3×3 square tubing and many 1 1/2 x 1/8” angle iron clips for added strength. Been through almost 3lbs of .030 flux core wire already and the welder has held up and performed flawlessly so far.
Voltage and amperage settings both at 50% is almost too much penetration especially for the 14g alone. All in all if it stops working on the next job, oh well, for the $79 I paid for it just too build the lean-too here , I certainly got my money’s worth with 15-20 hours of welding this has already done with impressive performance.
Overall portability, light weight, ease of use, simple 110v power that I have yet to blow a breaker on a 50’ cord from, and simply it’s just fun to use this little thing in synergy mode and for the money I spent on it makes it hard for me not too give it a 5 star review. -Mack
11. MJUM MIG Welder Portable Welding Machine

Highlight: The MJUM MIG Welder Portable Welding Machine makes tackling home, auto, and DIY welding projects effortless with its lightweight, user-friendly design.
Supportive Review: I’m genuinely impressed with the MJUM 3-in-1 Welding Machine. It’s compact, well-built, and incredibly user-friendly—perfect for both beginners and experienced welders. The machine offers excellent value with its MIG, TIG, and ARC welding capabilities all in one unit. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, making it ideal for home or field use.
Setup was fast and straightforward thanks to the clear instructions printed right inside the wire compartment. It came well-packaged with essential accessories, including gloves, cables, and torch connectors. I tested it on mild steel and got smooth, clean welds with stable arc performance and minimal spatter. If you’re looking for a reliable, versatile, and affordable welder, this one is a great choice. Highly recommended! -Jade Yu
12. YESWELDER 135Amp MIG Welder

Highlight: The YESWELDER 135Amp MIG Welder is a compact, easy-to-use welder that delivers reliable performance for home, auto, and light industrial projects.
Supportive Review: Looks cheap and built light weight, overall simple and small in size. Got it for broken bolts and stud removals and first day it showed up i put it to the test. Worked great and the welds held up to some turning torque. Next day i had to press out some bearings with no professional tools. Welded a nut to the race and beat the crap out of it to push it out. Welds held great for that too! I don’t plan on welding thick steel so i wont know any of that but so far it’s paid for itself in time and headaches saved. -Joe GV.
