1. BLACK+DECKER Small Portable Washer

BLACKDECKER Small Portable Washer

Highlight: Compact yet powerful, the BLACK+DECKER Small Portable Washer delivers full washing performance in a space-saving design perfect for apartments, dorms, and RVs.

Supportive Review: I bought this portable washer because our waterline to the washer freezes. I prefer not to go to a laundromat, so I figured a portable washer would be good. I was hesitant because the only place for it would be our kitchen, next to the sink. I fill it manually for the wash cycle and the rinse cycle because our faucet has one of those fancy sprayer thingy and it is not recommended you hook up anything to it.

I am so glad that I decided to buy this portable washer. It is AMAZING and BIG! For the medium load, I can fit in 5 hoodie sweatshirts in one load! I select the wash only cycle and then the rinse/spin cycle after that. I have it down to a total of 50 minutes from starting to fill it for the wash cycle until the final spin cycle.

After the washer is done spinning and rinsing, the clothes are pretty dry. Our dryer works perfect, so I just throw them into the dryer and the wash is done. The drain hose is awesome and I drape it over into my kitchen sink, and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this portable washer. You really can fit allot into it!!

Trending Review: I needed to replace a washing machine made for apartments – it started leaking.

The box it came in was well packaged and good sized but I thought it was just the protective packaging. It was but it also revealed something that was probably 2x what I expected. The chamber is larger than the advertised 3 cubic feet. I advise you measure out the space before you buy. I knew the measurements but I didn’t block out the actual space for it. Also, you will need to add about 3-4 inches to the back for the hot and cold water hose and the dirty water outlet.

Set up was pretty easy. It has hot and cold water hook-ups in the back but if you’re running it from the kitchen sink faucet, they provide an adapter and a cap to close off the hot water. You connect faucet to the cold water inlet. I think it has a water outlet hook-up as well as a hose to run to the sink. I’d like for it to have been a little longer because the outlet is one the bottom right and I need to run the hose to the upper left to the sink.

The controls are easy to understand without having to read the manual. The entire cycle is whisper quiet and there’s very little vibration. It takes up more space than I’d like but given that its large capacity and quiet operation, it’s a good trade-off.

2. HAMILTON BEACH Portable Washer

HAMILTON BEACH Portable Washer

Highlight: Compact yet powerful, the Hamilton Beach Portable Washer delivers convenient, space-saving laundry with efficient cleaning performance—perfect for apartments, dorms, and small homes.

Supportive Review: I  spent weeks researching portable washers. I watched review after review. I didn’t want to end up with a cheap, substandard piece of crap. After everything, I finally settled on the Hamilton Beach 2 cu. Ft. Portable washer. I chose it because of its large washing capacity, and because it’s made by RCA. I could have gotten an off brand washer the same size for like $100 less but I didn’t want to put my faith in a random name brand I’ve never heard of.

My washer arrived a day early, on Monday march 10th 2025. The delivery guy helped me get it inside of my apartment. The box it was shipped in was visibly damaged. I unboxed it and noticed a few dents in the body of the washer. Receiving a damaged unit was one of my concerns because of how complicated it would be to return a 100lb washer. I got the washer hooked up. Setup was easy. I did 4 loads of laundry in a row to test it. Everything went smoothly. The washer was fairly quiet. The clothes came out clean. This washer can handle fairly large loads of laundry. I was very surprised by that.

I find the washer to be durable, and of good quality. The body of the washer is metal. The lid is real tempered glass. It comes with the hoses, and quick connect attachment. I bought an appliance dolly separately to move it easily. All in all, I think it was a great investment. Given I’ve only had it for a day and a half. I’ve done 5 or 6 loads so far. The only thing I’ve noticed that isnt ideal is, My sink drain can’t keep up with the washer draining water. I have to keep an eye on it to prevent an overflow.

I’d say if your on the fence about which washer to get, I would recommend this Hamilton Beach washer. They come in multiple sizes. I chose one of the bigger sizes(2 cu. Ft.) For just over $300 after tax. As I said earlier, I could have gotten an offbrand washer the same size for roughly $100 cheaper but I wanted quality, and RCA (who makes Hamilton Beach), is a brand I’m familiar with and have had positive experiences with in the past. If my opinion of this washer changes, or problems arise, I will update my review to reflect that.

Trending Review: Listen up guys and gals. I was able to purchase this washer for a very reasonable price. Applied for the Amazon prime store card, got approved $300 cl and a free $100 giftcard that was applied to the purchase price on sale for $319-$100 gc=$219 on cc plus tax was total $242….. Fast forward. I can wash my QUEEN SIZE COMFORTERand still have room and I wash it on Heavy so it fills all the way up.

I also use the the spin cycle only afterwards cause then it gets the comforter extra dry and only a few minutes in the dryer and its completely dry. Im talking like 15 to 20mins no lie.. i also use the heavy setting on Jeans and and pants and towels only because it really is very quiet when using this setting for those type of loads….

I like the Normal setting for light shirts and sheets and pillowcases. Now I tried the quick setting and it is really only good for bras, underwear and socks. Do not use that setting for anything else. Otherwise you will destroy the machine and it will be loud and spin cycle would knock up against the walls. Now for the hoses. I purchased a female connector and hooked it up to the COLD WATER SIDE.

So FYI just use the cold setting or warm setting for every load and use the cold side for the hose and cut your HOT WATER ON from the faucet. Next the drain hose. You might as well go and purchase an extended one and get the silver clasp and you are good to go. Oh I almost forgot. It did arrive with a little dint in the front and I guess that’s normal bc I watched some other videos on YouTube and the small dent is in the same place lol. Its not really noticeable and didn’t affect the machine at all.

3. Comfee Portable Washing Machine

Comfee Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, energy-efficient, and perfect for small spaces.

Supportive Review: This little guy has been great! Granted it doesn’t hold a tremendously large amount of clothing, but it certainly holds a fair amount according to what would be expected of a mini automatic washer. It won’t handle the type of loads a standard washer would and shouldn’t be expected to- – it’s a MINI washer.

But in knowing that when I decided to make the purchase, my only worry was if it would actually do a good job washing and wouldn’t be a product I’d regret buying. Welp, I’m definitely not disappointed! Let me try to give you a realistic idea of what it’s able to handle; it will handle 4 pairs of heavy Levi 511’s and wash clean with no problem, and that’s a pretty heavy load considering the weight of wet jeans + the water level practically filled to the top.

The spin dry cycle is fantastic as well!  Another example is that I typically use the little washer for my work uniforms which are scrub tops and bottoms and I’ll usually throw 3 sets in at a time. The washer does fine handling the load. Gets them looking and smelling nice and clean! I believe it can handle a 4th set, but I prefer not to test it’s full capacity for the simple fact I don’t have $250 to just throw around ya know. So I’d rather follow the guidelines laid out in the manual and hope the washer continues to work well for a few years at least.

Anyhoo, to sum things up, it’s a great little washer, it works well and gets the job done. It was priced well and I’m happy with it! I unscrew the shower head hose from its outlet and connect the washer inlet hose to the shower head hose outlet for the water supply.

I have the drain hose fastened with a zip tie along the body of the backside of the washer so that the drain hose is raised above the height of the washer itself and then secured the drain hose at the bend with a hook which then keeps the end of the drain hose in place and able to withstand the force of the water exiting the hose where it drains right into the tub safely!

Once I’ve finished washing, I easily disconnect the water inlet from the shower outlet, leaving one end still connected to the washer’s water inlet, simply roll the hose up and hang it on a Velcro fastener I installed on the back of washer where it stays when not in use. I have the power cord connected to a serge protector multi-plug outlet.
The set-up has been great and I’m a happy customer!
Happy washing

Trending Review: A friend of mine broke my washer in my apartment by overloading it and I freaked out. I didn’t have enough money for a brand new full size washer and laundromats are so expensive. After consulting my roommate on what to do we settled on getting the biggest size of this washer. We have a washer and dryer hookup, which is a big benefit.

After getting this it was a lot bigger than I had expected, which was very satisfying. We have about 3 people using this washer regularly now. We’ve had to use smaller loads than with a regular washer, but after about 3-4 months of use we’ve found this to be a decent replacement especially for the price. It works well, our clothes come out clean and we have no issue with it.

The interface is easy to use as well. I feel like we wouldn’t be as happy had we gone for the smaller size, but splurging for the larger one has saved us a ton of time and hassle otherwise. We can’t wash large items like comforters or anything, but I’d still much rather have this than go out to wash my things. It was lightweight too, easy to install and I’ll probably keep it with me for the next apartment I go to. I’d definitely suggest this washer for someone who can’t afford anything huge, and so long as you’re not putting anything crazy heavy in it you should get a lot of value out of this.

4. Nictemaw Portable Washing Machine

Nictemaw Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: The Nictemaw Portable Washing Machine offers powerful cleaning in a small, lightweight design—perfect for apartments, dorms, RVs, and camping.

Supportive Review: So these portable automatic washers are super nice! In the past I had A manual portable washer where You had to fill it up with water, turn off the water and change it to the spin side, and the spin side would sometimes be off balanced if the clothes weren’t even.

And also they use the same water so if you had something really dirty, you had to drain it manually and fill it again… But not with this one! Think of a full-size washer this has the same Capabilities! You hook up the waterline and once it’s done filling up, it automatically turns off ,washes your clothes Then it drains and fills up again, rinses And spins without you having to remove the clothes!

It also has several different programs like quick wash, heavy, soak etc. You choose your setting and walk away and your clothes will be done. It washes just as good as a full-size washer. If you’re wanting a portable washer that’s convenient and easy to use this is a good option!

Trending Review: I’m so happy with this washer! Its capability to dry your clothes on a cycle that it has is amazing! Well, almost dry. Totally portable, but I recommend for you to buy the stand with the wheels so you can move it back-and-forth. If you have to. I have done many loans and have had no problems and has washed my clothes very well definitely worth the money.

5. Giantex Portable Washing Machine

Giantex Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, and energy-efficient laundry solution.

Supportive Review: While my apartment complex does have a communal laundry room, several other neighbors seem keen to flood it at least once a week. For hygeine and spoons purposes, I wanted something non-permanent I could have in my apartment. This washer is a little powerhouse.

All of the issues I had while setting this up was at no fault of the product but the limitation of my apartment. Neither my kitchen nor bathroom sinks had compatible faucets for the water inlet no matter how many adapters I tried to add. So for a while, I was filling it with buckets of water. This is a valid option in a pinch, but be aware that if you want to recreate the wash->rinse->spin of a normal cycle, I had to manually start the wash, set it to spin, refill for a rinse, then set it to spin once more. Very tedious and takes many spoons, but doable.

But I didnt want to do that anymore, so I did some research and found that if you get a 3/8 compression add-a-tee splitter, add it to your sink or toilet water line, and get yourself a 3/8 compression to 3/4 dishwasher hose, you can connect the portable washer directly to your water line. Renter friendly, took 5 minutes and some plumbers tape, and works like a charm. For my set up its only cold water, but that’s fine for me. Stick an antivibration mat underneath and keep it a centimeter away from the wall, and the vibrations are pretty minimal.

Im plus size and the washer can fit 2 of my shirts and 2 pairs of thick sweatpants easily. I only use a bit of detergent, just enough to cover the bottom of the bottle cap. Clothes are clean and smell fresh with no residue. The washer is small enough to fit in my small bathroom. I’ve done well over a dozen loads and it’s held up great. Light enough to move around wherever you need it too. It’s a great way to level up apartment living. Paired it with a portable dryer and now I’m golden.

Trending Review: First of all I tried to give a 5 star rating but the first star will not respond. I ordered/received this washing machine a year ago this month, for use in my apartment and have—to date—washed 340 loads and it still does an absolutely beautiful job!! I regret not ordering it years ago.

I live alone and it can handle my laundry needs perfectly. I can wash a small load every few days and hang dry the items. The washer spins out so thoroughly that items dry on hangers in just a few hours. I can wash queen sized sheets easily by washing the flat sheet and pillowcase in one load and the fitted sheet and second pillowcase in a second load.

I love that it is—in every real sense—an actual washing machine, just small. I can easily pick it up to move it but I happened to have a small square, flat truck that I set it on and wheel it to the sink and back to the corner. The machine control panel makes it very easy to select the water level and wash cycle and once the fill hose is connected to the faucet the machine auto fills and shuts off the water flow until more water is needed for rinse cycle.

There is no detergent or fabric softener dispenser on the machine but I add detergent as the water begins to fill tub and set my phone timer to remind me to add softener/ sanitizer at the final rinse which is 11!minutes before final spin out. I am SOO happy with this little machine!!

6. Nictemaw Portable 2.8 Cu.ft Washer

Nictemaw Portable 2.8 Cu.ft Washer

Highlight: Compact 2.8 cu.ft washer with portable design and efficient cleaning.

Supportive Review: It’s almost 1 month how I use this washer machine. Very comfortable in use. Super easy to install it. Cloth is clean and dry fast after. Don’t take too much space which is good for my small apartment. Don’t make too much noise and not hard vibrating. So not bothering my neighbors. And you can put more cloth for one circle of wash then it’s looks. Don’t affect my electric bill. And it’s good bonus . Do I recommend it to my friends already . It’s super good washer for small living spaces . For me it’s work super well and super affordable price.

Trending Review: Absolutely thrilled with this machine!!!! I got it yesterday and have been using it since. I have recently downsized to tiny home living and this was exactly what I was looking for!!! Easy to set up, just loud enough to be able to hear when it’s changing cycles ( which I wanted so I can add fabric softener) yet still quiet, decent load capacity and it got my clothes clean clean. Definitely worth it for me!!! Thank you for an outstanding purchase….10+ stars!!

7. ROVSUN 17.8LBS Portable Washing Machine

ROVSUN 17.8LBS Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, and portable—perfect for quick, effortless laundry anywhere.

Supportive Review: I love this washer ! I have done around fifteen loads so far without any problems. Very easy to use. With great extras like air dry and being able to just do a spin, or rinse cycle. The only thing I think could be improved upon, is the plastic fixture for the water hose. I move my machine back and forth so if that gets damaged I could not hook up the hose.

They need to provide a cap. I made a cover out of foam . If you plan on moving yours I highly suggest the stand with rollors. It make moving it back and forth a breeze. I am also very impressed with the drum size, it holds almost as much as a regular washer.

Trending Review: Great! It cleans amazingly and is easy to install. If you have a small space like an apartment, it’s very convenient. I love it! I can even wash my king- size bedding set in it. Get it: you really won’t regret it! don’t forget to buy wheels if you want to move it from one place to another.

8. Auertech Portable Washing Machine

Auertech Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, energy-efficient, and ideal for quick washes anywhere.

Supportive Review: I had my home renovated and had to move all of my furniture including my washer and dryer out of my home. Once the renovation began, I needed a way to wash my clothing and laundromats become very expensive over time.

I saw this item on Amazon and figured I’d try it. The item was delivered quicker than expected. The washer is a small footprint, not hard to move around and was extremely easy to connect the water lines and install. The washer works OUTSTANDING!! The clothes come out “cleaner” than my LG front loader. The spin cycle extracts at least 80 percent of the water.

When you finish washing/rinsing/spinning the clothing is practically dry. I place my clothes outside to dry. Ahhh!! The freshness reminds me of when I was younger and hung the clothes out to dry in the sunshine. I love it. I highly recommend this item. Saves the cost of using a laundromat – hands down!! The clothes do come out cleaner using this washing machine in my opinion.

Trending Review: Hello!! I have a lot of trouble going up and down stairs! I wanted a washer upstairs but it was really impossible to hookup to water and drain. I found this BEAUTY! It works like a charm!!! I have done 4 loads and I am IMPRESSED!! I placed it in my bathroom tub.

The wire is short so I had to get a heavy duty extension cord, no biggie. I fill it with my shower hose. The spin dry Really Gets close to dry!!!! I am going to save even more money because I am hanging my clothes and not using the dryer so much!! I give this little washer a 10 A++++++++.
Now I hope it lasts 🤞

9. Nictemaw Portable Washing Machine 20Lbs

Nictemaw Portable Washing Machine 20Lbs

Highlight: Compact 20 lb washer – portable, efficient, and space-saving.

Supportive Review: I live in an apartment without a washer and dryer hookup. We are a family of 5 and laundry piles up fast. I should have made this purchase a long time ago, this little washer is a beast. It can handle a normal sized load. I can wash my king sized sheets and duvet covers but I wouldn’t wash any comforters larger than a queen.

The noise level is decent. It’s not silent, but it’s not loud. There is a hum, and when it’s draining there’s a short grinding sound that made me worry at first but it turned out that the brief sound is the pump doing it’s job. The pump is very strong and gets almost all of the water out. There may still be some in the hose but not much. The air dry function is great. It’s a long cycle but long. It’s worth it and makes hang drying or machine drying faster.

I was happy it had a child lock function however it’s a loud alarm and doesn’t actually lock. The lid can still be opened but the machine automatically stops spinning when opened. This washer has made a huge difference. It’s definitely worth getting. There were so many to choose from, I am very happy that I chose this one.

Trending Review: I bought this Washer for my RV and it’s just perfect. Great size, great capacity, really quite and easy install. Prepare to get a hose for $20 dollars from Home Depot or Lowe’s. The one which comes with has a weird adapter and weak connections. I’ve washed about 30+ loads so far and it’s doing an excellent job. Note that the washer has only one water inlet.

So if you try to wash with warm water Instead of cold or hot only, there are ways with the right adapters etc ti do so. Ask your plumber ! Can’t beat the price for the job the washer is doing ! Highly recommend ! And hey… if it breaks down just get a new one. The price you would pay for a repair on any washer would exceed the price of this one ! Trust me

10. Giantex Portable Mini Compact Twin Tub

Giantex Portable Mini Compact Twin Tub

Highlight: Compact twin-tub washer and spinner for easy, portable laundry.

Supportive Review: I love these washers! But the Durability is just not there for long turn uses I’ve had two of these over the years and they have worked great in a pinch. they wash better than most full-size washers I’ve seen/used. the design isn’t bad, but the plastic is a little on the cheaper side. Where this product fails is in the washer motor the agitation is fine and the sin rate is okay but if you put any heavy clothes in it can’t handle the load over time.

When I had one at my apartment, we just use it for if we needed something washed fast for next day wear. But I got a new one when I got my camper and i was washing more. it worked well for about a year washing every other day and then the motor went out. The price point is good and if not seeing a lot of uses it’ll last my first one lasted two years.

Trending Review: I got mine for $20 cheaper than what it is now, having bought it during Black Friday. I truly love mine, the spin cycle is insane though you cannot add a lot for the cycle. The recommended number of items is legit. 10 T-Shirts or 50 socks etc.

I have thick towels and spin them only one at a time and only wash 2 or 3 at a time. I set mine right in the bathtub and use my shower head to fill it. It takes a significant amount of time longer to wash items being that it takes a good bit of time to rinse. I think it will be better when I figure out how much soap to use.

11. COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine Black+White

COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine BlackWhite

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, and ideal for small loads—perfect for apartments or travel.

Supportive Review: This is perfect for baby clothes. Babies create so much laundry, but I don’t want to run the big washer every day for only a few small items. That’s why I bought this mini washer. It wasn’t too hard to setup to running water, but you can also put water in manually and it works well too. I highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation because it works well for smaller loads of laundry that are more frequent.

Trending Review: My father love this device!
In New York City old apartment , laundry facilities were rarely installed (because the landlord paid the water bill, even though my father lived on the ground floor and had access to the backyard). So, he usually preferred to do his own laundry rather than go to the laundromat.

That’s why I bought this washing machine. It’s very lightweight, making it easy for an older person to move (he plans to keep it indoors in the winter and move it to the backyard in the summer), which I trust. This washing machine can wash a week’s worth of clothes (12-pound capacity) and spin-dry (8-pound capacity), and it’s not very loud. It also has both inlet and outlet water valves, so my father won’t have to wash clothes by hand anymore, which is very convenient.

12. COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine Blue+White

COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine BlueWhite

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, and easy-to-use portable washer with a fresh blue-and-white design.

Supportive Review: Great little washer. Small but mighty. Our old washer broke so I bought this as we live in an apartment with no washer dryer hookup. It works great! It doesn’t make any noise when draining! The spinner works well, depending on the fabric and the amount of clothes you put in there it makes things almost dry completely!

Takes so much water out of it. I didn’t see anyone mention this so I think I should. Contrary to our previous washer the drain hose on this HAS to be level with the bottom of the washer/floor to use. I saw people put theirs in the bathtub and that’s exactly what I did too. I was so scared the drain didn’t work.

It does! I had to have help carrying it up the stairs to get it to my apartment but once it was out of the box, easy to move. It’s decently light. It also shipped SO FAST! For free shipping especially. I ordered it yesterday and it came this morning! Got here in 24 hours! I live in New York and it came from Jersey. May vary by state. But 10/10, I definitely love this washer. Saves trips to the laundromat

Trending Review: So this unit is great aside from the hose being too short to do much with, I added an extension it wasn’t easy, I had to cut off the lip of the end of the hose to couple it to another hose. When I went to drain I had the hose in my tub and need to pick up the side the hose comes out to help gravity work to drain.

If you set the hose low in a shower drain or outside or floor drain it won’t need help. I’m going to order a platform (with wheels) to solve this issue. I think they tried to get me to add it at check out. I hope I find it. There is another model or brand that has a pump but I don’t want the water pressure, so this is how I’ll resolve it for myself. Hope this helps someone. Good luck!

13. ZenStyle Portable Washer

ZenStyle Portable Washer

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, and perfect for on-the-go washing.

Supportive Review: Without exaggeration, this unit is the best and most useful item I’ve ever acquired from Amazon, and for the price, seriously considering ordering a second unit. Although I can’t wash really bulky items like bedding with it, I maintain 99% of my wardrobe with this machine. I operate it in the bathtub atop a rubber mat to prevent scooting and absorb vibration.

To fill with water I use a handheld shower hose with the attachment removed. The technique requires manual work, but the results are outstanding. Fabric goes from wash to rinse much more rapidly than with slow-fill-&-drain timer machines and the system uses only a fraction of the water. Six Stars on a Five Scale and very easy on clothing.

Trending Review: This is a great little washing machine! The motor is much more powerful than my previous mini machine (an Auertech). Really cleans well and is quiet. I can wash a queen size sheet or a pair of jeans with no problems. Highly recommend!

14. Superday Portable Washing Machine

Superday Portable Washing Machine

Highlight: Compact, lightweight, energy-efficient, ideal for travel.

Supportive Review: The 18lb washing machine is accurate in its description. The delivery was super fast and used smart packaging, just enough to protect the item without wasting material.
The washer is quiet and remains very stable during both the wash and spin cycles. I have respected the load capacity and it works really good. I’ve done about 10 loads so far without any problems.

To drain the water while keeping the machine on the floor, it is helpful to use buckets so the water flows slowly and safely. The washer cleans very well, and the spinner takes the water out of the clothes efficiently.

I feel that the price was fair and the seller was transparent about shipping costs. Other sellers often add hidden charges at checkout without warning, which can double the cost and feels like a bad-faith strategy. I highly recommend this seller!

Trending Review: This portable washing machine has completely transformed laundry day! Despite its compact size, it delivers impressive cleaning power, tackling clothes with excellent results while saving space and energy. It’s the perfect solution for small apartments, dorm rooms, RVs, or anyone needing laundry on the go.

Setup was super simple — just hook it up to a faucet, add detergent and water, and you’re ready. The
