1. CS4 Portable PCP Air Compressor

CS4 Portable PCP Air Compressor 1

Highlight: The CS4 Portable PCP Air Compressor delivers fast, reliable fills with a compact design that’s perfect for on-the-go airgunners.

Constructive Review: I waited to leave this review. I filled my pcp from 3k to over 4kpsi in 4 min. It’s got the speed and quality built. Solid, easy to bring where I need it, run till I feel done. I bought a larger filter, it slowed it down by a minute or so. .it’s very quiet, no worry, it shuts off is good a little soon. Air bleed the air from running it without the filter, and it does have good air filtration. I’d find a good coolant that works with all metal,s pH neutral, that’s 7 or 8, dw is 7 . I’ll leave another review later . wish I bought this first, honestly, especially if u pump to 4500psi and shoot a lot. -Philip

Trending Review: Easy to use, very quiet unit, long enough run time for filling larger bottles. Works great for quick refills, would like to see a more durable AC/DC power supply as the supplied one works, but no place to store it with the compressor for travel, and the power supply is not as rugged as the compressor is. Shipping was quick, packing was very good (lots of foam and support material) unit came undamaged and sealed nicely.

Would like to see an hour meter (adding a vibration-activated hour meter, but if you travel with it, it will activate during travel in a vehicle) and a temp gauge would be nice too.

Shut off works great, seems to be a nice, reliable compressor, as I read from other reviews.
Would recommend this model to a friend. -James Stadler

Reassuring Review: I like this compressor. It is a set the pressure stop, turn it on, and forget about it. I was worried at first and didn’t trust the automatic stop, but after a hundred or so fill-ups, it works perfectly. It’s accurate too. I have it set at 3k psi, and it matches the small handful of PCP airguns’ gauges. Fill time is plenty quick in my opinion, and the decibel level is bearable enough to run inside the house. It’s quieter than my shop compressor by a wide margin. I bought Amazon’s extended warranty, which makes it the best insured value for a compact compressor on the market. If I were to have one complaint, it’s that the external power inverter doesn’t have an on/off switch.

I continuously have to plug and unplug it for use. I’ll be buying a switched power strip to solve the annoyance. But other than that, this compressor is great. I’m glad I invested in it for my hobby and would do it over again without hesitation. If you’re on the fence about such a large purchase, if you commit, you’ll be happy you did. It’s made filling my tanks and PCPs so easy. -Appo

Trending Review: I was able to grab this compressor on a flash sale, along with the use of a gift card, which was one heck of a bargain. Leaps and bounds over the less expensive units found on Amazon, and possibly one of the best options available for a “higher-end” budget-friendly compressor. I was curious after reading the specs to see what type of unit was hiding under the covering… Not surprised to find the standard CS2 pump. Essentially, you’re paying more for auto shut-off in a fancier package. Overall, if I hadn’t gotten this unit on sale, I’d have gone with the standard CS2 pump, which is undoubtedly a little workhorse in itself. At the end of the day, fantastic unit and one could do much worse! -Jack

Reassuring Review: I use this product solely to fill my PCP airguns It’s a great little compressor The only issue I have is it’s not supposed to come with grease so you can service it after 50 hours of use and I just open the second one and there’s no grease other than that satisfied…..Update… I emailed the seller about the grease issue. I received a prompt response informing me that the compressors have been updated and no longer require you to service them with grease after 50 hours of use or anytime after that. It seems the problem was that the updated compressors were being shipped with the old owners’ manuals. They were very apologetic and assured me that I shouldn’t have any problems with my compressor and instructed me not to try to service it with any sort of grease because it would be detrimental to the workings of the compressor.

I must say they set my mind at ease. I mean, this is a 4500psi compressor, so you can understand I was a little worried about keeping it in proper working order. After receiving their e-mail and corresponding with them, I must reevaluate and give this little compressor a full 5 stars. It exceeds my expectations and performs better than described. I use it with my Benjamin Bulldog, and it fills from 1500 up to 3000psi in about 8min. Not only that it relatively quiet and highly portable. I’ve run it off both my car battery and the wall outlet converter, and it works great off of both. The other great thing is that it came with a quick disconnect already attached, and it fit right on my gun. Oh, and it has an automatic shut-off you can set so you don’t have to babysit it while it fills. If you’re looking for a good, self-contained, portable high-pressure compressor at a great price, this is it. -Calark

3. TUXING Pcp Air Compressor

TUXING Pcp Air Compressor

Highlight: The TUXING PCP Air Compressor offers fast fills, built-in filtration, and runs without external cooling—perfect for hassle-free airgun refills.

Constructive Review: I use this compressor to fill a Hatsan Flashpup wood .22 PCP air rifle. It fills the 165cc reservoir from 100 bar to 200 bar in less than 2 minutes. The compressor came with a 12V 50A power supply and all the wires with terminals to connect it to the compressor. The power cord did not come with terminals and is a 2-wire, no ground connection type. I used a 3-wire power cord from an old computer so I would have a good, grounded power connection to the power supply. Also included are the 2 battery clamps with wires and terminals to connect the compressor to a car battery. The whip that is included is 23 1/2 inches long. It includes one small water/oil separator filter with extra filter media, plus Foster quick disconnects at each end. I added a larger water/oil separator filter to make sure I am getting dry air.

The compressor has no labeling on it but the manual explains each switch and knob and it is very easy to operate. The compressor is the same as the Hatsan Spark and is very compact and well-built. The digital temperature gauge reads in Celsius, and the temperature should not exceed 90c. The manometer reads in MPa, so 20 on the gauge equals 200 bar, very simple. The compressor is completely air-cooled using 2 internal fans. I have filled my air rifle about 20 times so far with it, and it never gets close to the max temperature. I did a pressure leak test with the supplied test plug at the end of the fill whip before using it for the first time. The pressure release knob was leaking when finger tight. I tightened the knob very slowly with pliers till it stopped leaking. Now it works flawlessly when finger-tight with no leaks. I am very happy with how well this compressor works and how easy it is to operate. This was a much better option than a hand pump or carbon fiber tank. I can use it at home or in the field, and it is quick and easy to use, plus the price was less than a 90ci carbon fiber tank. This compressor made it a lot easier to get started with my first PCP air rifle. -MARKgnm/td

Trending Review: This pump is of very good quality, and I am sure it will work perfectly. CC, I haven’t used it because of one thing: it has a manual shut-off. This is the second high-pressure air pump that I purchased, as the first one had a couple of drawbacks, namely a separate voltage converter and manual shut-off. This time, I was determined to buy one that had the voltage converter built in and that had an automatic shut-off. I don’t know how I ended up with the one that has to be shut off manually, but that isn’t going to work for me.

I don’t think that an air compressor should be built without an automatic shut-off. I’ve owned several air compressors for running air guns and for running other air tools, inflating tires, etc, but they all have shut off automatically when the pressure tank reaches its limit in addition to having a safety pressure release, in case the automatic shutoff should fail. If you buy this make sure you get the model with a serial number ending in -2 which has the automatic shut off unless you’re sure that you want to watch it very carefully while you’re using it, and be ready to replace the safety release part every time that you forget or stop paying attention for a minute. -Erik Donaldson

Reassuring Review: I’ve owned this for six weeks now and have had about 30 fills at 4,500 psi with it. ( I shoot almost every day) The auto stop works flawlessly, and the pressure is accurate. I have not had any moisture on the filter in the fill hose so far cause it gets collected and dumped out the drain underneath. The only problem I’ve had is that it has shut off three times on me mid-fill. It’s a pretty good indicator that it will not let itself sit there and burn itself up. I just let it cool off, and it fired right back up and finished the fill. -Stephen

4. TOAUTO A3 PCP Air Compressor

TOAUTO A3 PCP Air Compressor

Highlight: The TOAUTO A3 PCP Air Compressor stands out with its fast, oil-free operation and built-in cooling system—perfect for quick, hassle-free fills at home or in the field.

Constructive Review: A good operating check at first is to connect and then plug the hose, set the pressure limit on the gauge to 3000 psi, and operate the pump. It should stop automatically when it reaches the set point in just a couple of minutes, and then the pump, but not the fa,n should turn off. If there are no leaks on the high-pressure side, the gauge pressure should not fall. This pump did that very well. It also pumped up the 500 cc tank on my air gun from 200 to 235 atmospheres in just about 3 minutes.

This is a great choice for filling the guns directly because the pump works most efficiently at pressures up to 3500 psi, and most PCP guns don’t need more than that for maximum fill. The pump is lightweight and has some good features others don’t, like an extra in-line filter in the fill line. Pushing the compressor button once turns it on, and a second time turns it off. There is a rupture disk for adequate safety, but no pressure-relief valve, so less to fail. I like that the 115-volt converter is built-in, so you can leave the battery cable coiled up at home. It’s lightweight but powerful enough to fill your PCP guns faster than you can reload the magazines with pellets. Comes with plenty of spare filter cartridges, o-rings, and rupture disks, and the filter cartridge can be replaced without tools. -David

Trending Review: I’ve done the whole scuba shop and scuba tank gig for years. It always puzzled me that I had to pay yearly inspections and even more costly hydro testing on the tank, even though I just used it for airing up my tank for airguns. Enter the reliable and reasonably priced compressors! Now I can air up my gun without the regular expense and loading and unloading of my scuba tank. This compressor keeps on ticking. I’ve been careful to run the fan after I turn off the compressor to cool the unit, and I hope I can get a lot of service from this auto compressor. -Luna Low

Reassuring Review: This is a very well thought-out design and easy to use. After 5 months of use, I had problems reaching over 1500 psi. I reported the issue to ToAuto. They requested a video to remotely troubleshoot the problem. They identified a cylinder malfunction. The cylinder is shown in the picture. After installing the new replacement, the unit works perfectly. While I was a little disappointed to have a problem, ToAuto deserves credit for their approach to expediting the repair. Therefore, I am giving them a 5-star overall rating because of their excellent response. -Richard W Evans

5. CS1-I PCP Air Compressor

CS1 I PCP Air Compressor

Highlight: The CS1-I PCP Air Compressor delivers fast, reliable fills with built-in auto shut-off and water cooling—perfect for serious airgunners who value performance and convenience.

Constructive Review: Just received today. Well packaged and no outward damage seen. Instructions are the usual Chinglish but fairly easy to follow, and as always, very brief. Got right down to business and charged my Air Venturi Avenger that was already around 2400 psi in the tank up to just under the max 4200 psi. Not the fault of the compressor; I didn’t set the auto shutoff right at 300 bar, but with how it performed, auto shutoff at where it was set, and there seems to be no inaccuracy on the gauge.

Next,t fill I’ll set to 300 bar. I like that the incremental scale is in PSI and Bar rather than MPA, like others have mentioned on compressors they’ve purchased. Gauge also glows in the dark, which is a nice touch. Took about 3 minutes to fill, and the temp was nowhere near the 75 degrees where needed to let cool down. It’s a little noisy but not badly so. This is an out-of-the-box review, so it has 5 stars to begin with. We’ll see how it goes long term. I also like that the AC is not an external box needing to be connected to the DC battery leads. The footprint is small. Cooling fans are like a jet engine, so don’t leave anything close by you don’t want to see blown away. If you are looking for a compressor that’s not going to break the bank, I’d recommend this one. I’m not affiliated with the seller and just giving an honest review. When I purchased mine, I got it for $305, which was less than the advertised price, so that was also a nice surprise. Easy to use and good value for money. -James

Trending Review: I have been air gunning for several years. I have 3 SCBA tanks, but I got tired of finding places to fill them. Bought a Yong Heng 4500psi compressor and quickly learned it was junk with no help from the seller. Saw reviews of this GX-CS1 compressor and bought one from this company through Amazon. At 11 months of service, it suddenly quit pumping. Expecting another hassle trying to get service, I emailed this company. Within 1 hour, I had a reply from the company that requested a video of what the compressor was doing (or was not doing). After sending the video, about 2 hours later, I got a reply stating the video had been sent to their tech department, who determined that it was apparent the motherboard had failed. And now comes a huge shout out to Ada with this company…. She expressed her sorrow that this had happened and was immediately sending out a replacement unit for this compressor. It arrived one week later, cost me nothing, and I am back in business.
You can rest assured, this company will stand behind their products, and customer support is over-the-top excellent. Ada, I thank you very much for such a great experience and your handling of this issue !!!
I included a video of this compressor filling a rifle from approximately 100 bar to 200 bar in about 6 minutes. Super little machine, and it is very portable and comes equipped to operate on both AC and DC at a really good price. You can’t go wrong !!! -Rick Keeling

Reassuring Review: I bought this little model to check out for some friends and started using it. It right away developed a bleed valve leak, which I fixed, and then a couple of times after that, the temperature gauge stopped working. This wasn’t a big deal because I knew not to run it excessively, but then the bleed valve blew again. This time, while attempting to fix it, the assembly split in half. I was still within warrant, and I contacted GX. They provided a few solutions, but unfortunately, the stem was broken inside the well of the machine, so getting it out seemed impossible. After a few very professional emails with GX, they asked to send an entirely new unit. Today it arrived (about 3 days after our final correspondence). I couldn’t be happier because I believe mine was troubled from the get-go randomly, and the few friends that I have told to buy this unit have had trouble-free experiences so far! So, would I recommend GX? Absolutely! This is a backup for a backup for a backup unit for me, but I am planning to get a couple of their higher-end units, especially considering their resolve to take care of customers. That means a lot in my book. -Tristan

6. Spritech PCP Air Compressor

Spritech PCP Air Compressor

Highlight: The Spritech PCP Air Compressor stands out with its built-in cooling fan and auto-shutoff feature, making it a reliable and user-friendly option for quick, hassle-free refills.

Constructive Review: I have been into airguns for close to 25 years now, and am used to pumping my PCP guns. I bought my first compressor, a little Hatsan Spark, about 3 and a half years ago, and it is still running perfectly. So I only have that Spark compressor to compare it to. I know some complain about the noise this one makes, but I believe that it is quieter than my Spark. Perhaps people were griping about the noise so much that I expected it to be really loud, which it was not. I use it in the house in a closed room and in the garage, no issues and no ear protection needed.

Big difference between this one and my Spark is that this one barely heats up at all and will air up most of these rifles from 1000 psi to 3000 psi in minutes, so quickly that it never really gets that hot. I never saw it get over 25.7 degrees Celsius, which is less than 79 degrees. And I had another thermometer in the room I was in, which read around 72, which was consistent with the 22.5 or so Celsius starting point when I first started the compressor, which means the gauge is very accurate. So the cooling fan is WAY more effective in this compressor than my Spark. The Spark in airing up one gun would be in the 150-degree range, and I would have to shut it down to cool. Not so with this one. You do have to get used to the temperature gauge being in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. But I have adapted.

Another thing I really like about this compressor over the Spark is the onboard AC power adapter. So I don’t need an AC adapter and a compressor, like I have on the Spark. Much more convenient.

Now I haven’t tried to air up a large tank gun like a Talon SS or something like that. My current airguns are Hatsan Flashpup, Crosman PROD, Diana Stormrider, Gamo Urban, and a Flash QE. So all of the air cylinders on these guns are rather small. For my purpose, this is the best money spent since I bought the Spark. I originally bought this one as a backup if the Spark ever kicks the bucket. But I will likely just alternate them back and forth.

Anyway, I like it and only time will tell about longevity and customer support. 5 stars. -Andrew

Trending Review: I bought this Spritech compressor to replace an old compressor that was giving me difficulty. Oops, when I got it, the 115-volt feature didn’t work; only the 12-volt feature worked. Reading the included manual, it discussed this possible problem and what to do about it if it occurred. An hour after emailing the Spritech. The tech support team I received responded. They quickly mailed me an easy-to-replace part that corrected this problem.
I had selected this product as it was the lowest-priced fully self-contained unit available, and I just needed air now. However, after inspection, I have found it to at least equal the higher-priced models out there in quality. It was intended to hold me over until I could restore my old one, but it just works, so I will continue to use it instead. It came complete with a rebuild kit, also including a check valve. Overall, I am pleased with what I call a good product.
These days, good service can be rare, and as a retired sales manager, I fully understand how this works. So I will give their service team an additional 5 stars. Not only did they take care of my product issue, but they also helped me with my old compressor’s repair, even though it was not one of theirs.
I’m pleased and impressed, and that’s hard to say these days. -Tom

Reassuring Review: This is a good product so far. I got it set up today to fill a few things, and so far it has done well. The manual is basic, but it covers all the steps you need to know. The fan is automatically on, so you don’t have to worry about cooling as long as you keep an eye on the temperature, which is displayed via a digital panel.

I have filled some reservoirs to 3000 PSI so far, but will be going higher because some of the PCP’s demand it. Fill time is reasonable.

I expected noise and got more than I expected. On the other hand, if you are doing this outside the main living area of the house (Garage in my case), then it is liveable. It may be well worth using some ear protectors.

Overall, though, it looks and feels like good value for money. If you need a decent compressor at a reasonable price, I would recommend it. -Bahman
