1. Umarex Beretta .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Realistic blowback action and full-metal build make the Umarex Beretta a top choice for authentic training and backyard fun.
Constructive Review: Well I a bit surprised at this BB pistol. Heavy and very realistic. Now had to wait for CO2 to arrive then had to wait for the silicone lubricant. ALL IN HAND it became time to try it. Evidently there a change in the magazine design and the Owners Manual appears to be for the older magazine, so there a glitch there, but easily figured out. Only issue I did see was the full auto capacity did not always work, remained a semi auto one shot at a time – but as time passed and it was used the full auto became more reliable. Is fairly accurate for a BB pistol. For super accuracy in a BB gun – slower velocity is really important. Was fairly easy to hold on target when the full auto was working, which I found delightful. Looks good, acts and works good, and I am happy. This really just a toy to play around with and have fun. For sure not for children without supervision. -Davey C
Trending Review: Fully automatic is crazy fast. I read bad reviews and it’s not at all like that with mine. I don’t care if it shoots straight or how many fps it is. Single shot is boring. I’m not interested in shooting a target one shot at a time. I bought it to chase deer out of my yard and it works. Then we installed a deer fence three weeks later. I was having fun . It’s not hard to load and the spring locks so you can put bb in it. I called customer service with a question and got a live person quickly. He answered the question and said if I needed anything call back . My gun works fine . I don’t use it every day but when I do it’s a blast on fully automatic. I mean fast. For me I’m glad I got this gun at this price.. i don’t know why people are saying everything bad about it but it’s not like that with my gun. I’ll update if anything comes up.. by the way I shot a fence and the bb get there really quick. I don’t want to kill anything or do boring target practice..i just like pulling the trigger and unloading 18 rounds in a couple seconds if that long. Oiling the gun makes it better. UPDATE. The co2 will not come out..I tighten it really tight but they usually come out with no problem just fall out. -Sreward
Ressuring Review: Gun is well made. Almost identical to real 9mm gun… all metal except grip. SEE PHOTO. I weighed both… almost identical weight. Blindedfolded no one could tell apart. Teardown is identical… recoil spring… barrel removal. Magazine with CO2 cartridge is actually more sophisticated than 9mm magazine. Slide operates identically, only with about 1/4 the slide recoil force as 9mm. Inexpensive to practice. Practically noise free and a great way to sharpen skills before returning to target range with 9mm. Operates consistently at 20 feet, though one bead low. BB ammo is fairly slow reloading. Great fun at lower cost. Auto fire feature is fun if you want to waste ammo occasionally. -Lazer
2. Umarex Beretta M9A3 Blowback .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Realistic, full-metal design with blowback action—modeled after the iconic Beretta M9A3 for authentic shooting feel.
Constructive Review: This is a highly precision piece…It does not come out of the box with accuracy..That has to be learned with practice, using the right steel BB’s…All air pistols and rifles are different with one shooting well with one kind of ammo while another shoots better with a different ammo…Its up to you to find out which is best for your gun.
This Baretta is an eye catcher with semi-auto and full-auto…Weight and ease of fire are excellent…As always with any airgun, my personal rule, if it moves, oil it”…Use proper airgun oil so you don’t damage your seals…Having dozens of air pistols and rifles, this Baretta, is an excellent addition to my collection…I do not feel this is a beginner airgun…However, experienced shooter’s will love it. Wally
Trending Review: This is a very good copy of the Beretta 92F. It has the feel and functionality of the real thing. I own a Beretta 92F and this gun fits in the same holsters and utilizes the same accessories. It is an excellent tool for teaching kids gun safety, gun handling and proper shooting techniques before moving them to real firearms. Given the high cost and low availability of ammunition these days, it is a good way to keep you proficient in your gun drills with the added benefit you can shoot in your backyard instead of a gun range. I have no problems with the full auto function of the gun nor has the gun fallen apart as some other reviews claim. As with real firearms, it does require lubrication on the moving parts. It is well made and it is a lot of fun to spray BBs in one long continuous burst. -AbbyNormL
Ressuring Review: My 9 year old grandson and I have a BB gun range in the backyard and this is our “go to” gun. The full auto feature is a blast. I have not had any jamming issues but the co2 loading is a bit of a pain since you have to make sure to have the supplied Allen wrench with you. -William L Martin
3. Umarex SA10.177 Caliber Pellet or BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Versatile and powerful, the Umarex SA10 fires both pellets and BBs with tactical style and precision.
Constructive Review: Pretty close clone of the Sig Sauer P322. The barrel has an thread protector that can be removed so “accessories”
can be installed. The pistol is double action for the first shot, afterwards the trigger becomes single action and breaks pretty nicely even though it is rotating the cylindrical magazine. The three extra rotating magazines are easily switched out, but you have to be careful not to have them drop out after removing the magazine to switch them. My copy easily ran all 4 magazines before the pistol began showing signs of loosing power. There are three other “clones” of duty weapon pistols that are more accurate looking, however this is the one to really consider if you’re just looking for something to dispatch cans. If I’m just goofing around in the backyard this is the one I reach for every time. -Don.S
Trending Review: The Umarex SA10 is unquestionably the most impressive Umarex I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. Having amassed a collection of double-digit Umarex units over the years, I can confidently affirm that this model represents a significant leap forward from the tried-and-true Glock 19 design I’ve relied on for so long.
What truly stands out is the new mechanism, which admirably maintains a superior seal. When you load it, the weight provides an authentic magazine-like feel. The revolver-style BB dispensing mechanism performs exceptionally well, although it can be a tad tricky and time-consuming to load. I do wish there was a more efficient loading method that prevented the discs from falling out during the process. You really have to click them in and only load them upside down or the pellets fall out.
In terms of accuracy, the SA10 outperforms my other Umarex handguns, consistently delivering precise shots. The styling is undeniably impressive, though personally, I lean toward a chrome and black finish over the gold and black option.
Notably, the SA10 bears a striking resemblance to a Sig Sauer, particularly in the grip, which closely resembles a Sig P320. However, one area for potential improvement is the delayed trigger break, which I believe could enhance the overall shooting experience if it occurred sooner. -James G
Ressuring Review: I want so so bad to give this a good review I’ll give it four stars for some reasons. It’s cool
looking. It feels great to shoot nice blow back action with a good recoil. Here’s the problems I’ve had so far. I’m only using
pellets so I just leave out the BB rotary ( it kept falling out anyway every time I removed the mag. ) So after about 90
shots the first co2 died, not the best not the worst, and then the jamming started. New co2 more jamming, and at one
point the trigger wouldn’t move it just sticks in back. When that’s not happening the hammer won’t settle properly.Next day tried some more switched out the waddcutters for h&n hammers started great noticed at the 60 shot mark the gun started to lose power, then stopped shooting, trigger jammed up couldn’t remove the magazine again…kinda bummed but when it does shoot it shoots well, I have an extra mag on the way maybe there’s something defective with this one. I’ll field strip it and see if there’s an obstruction. If anything positive happens I’ll update this review but like I said it’s pretty cool looking.
Gotta go back in and give you my edited review,
The problem I was having with jamming was the type of pellet.
This thing doesn’t like pointed pellets… been shooting with h&n and crossman hollow points no problems, must of run at least 250 + rounds not one jam. And man with an extra mag. This thing is fun fun fun fun.
Giving another edit.
This thing is awesome.
With an extra mag and using crossman hollow points it’s been fun, really nice recoil getting a solid 48 + shots per co2, usually swapping out mag’s.
Really fun, popped a laser on it helps a lot. Highly recommend. -Thomas F.
4. Glock 19X Gen5 .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Realistic feel and solid performance — the Glock 19X Gen5 BB pistol brings military-grade design to backyard shooting.
Constructive Review: OK. First off, last time I fired any gun was back in 1967 at YMCA camp Seymour, so I’m easy to impress. This gun however looks as good as the other reviews say, and it definitely has impressive weight. Showed it to my neighbor that owns a glock and he was completely impressed by the look and weight. Have read negative reviews but had to try this based on the positive ones. Glad I did. Read instructions, loaded BB’s,used pellegun oil on the CO2 cartridge, got eye protection, disengaged safety, aimed and fired my first shot. HOLY CR@P!! It has a kick to it! It’s louder than I expected too. I was hitting trees and the pump house over 100 feet away.
The blowback, even at 3/4 of full is pretty darn cool. If you are a newbie like me, read up as much as you can on it..things like using the oil on the cartridge, do not over tighten it after you hear that hiss etc. Some of the bad reviews I attribute to improper use, and exceedingly high expectations. The ones complaining about the safety under the barrel?? OMG, I would rather have a functioning safety than not. I like it better than the “button safety” on the trigger of other umarex glocks. … Anyway, this newbie is most impressed with the looks, function, and sound of this “gun of the hand”. I have purchased it so I can learn gun safety and use of a firearm without actually purchasing a real version of this gun. I can see how someone like me can use this as a viable tool to learn many valuable aspects of gun ownership. Thank you. -Methew
Trending Review: The Umarex Glock 19X BB gun is an outstanding replica for anyone looking to experience the feel of a Glock without breaking the bank. Its build quality is impressive, featuring a durable polymer frame and a metal slide that perfectly mirrors the real firearm. The attention to detail in the design, including the iconic Glock markings, makes it an excellent choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Performance-wise, this BB gun delivers with precision and power, making it ideal for target practice or casual plinking. The blowback action adds a satisfying level of realism, providing a great training tool for Glock fans. It’s also easy to load and operate, with a magazine that holds a generous number of BBs for uninterrupted shooting sessions.
Overall, the Umarex Glock 19X BB gun offers a fantastic combination of realism, functionality, and fun. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a beginner, this BB gun is sure to exceed expectations. Highly recommended! -Humza
Reassuring Review: I’ve had one in the past and it lasted a couple years, they’re durable. All mechanical parts are heavy metal and the grip is plastic, good weight it feels real. Can easily be mistaken for a real gun so please be cautious when handling this. CO2 lasts for about 4-5 mag dumps, strong and decently accurate. Price is very much reasonable. -Timothy
5. Umarex Glock 17 Blowback .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Realistic feel and blowback action make the Umarex Glock 17 a top pick for training and target shooting.
Constructive Review: I got this yesterday and I wasn’t expecting much. However when it arrived I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. This airgun is no joke! It looks and feels like the real thing in my hands, the blowback feature just puts the icing on the cake. The only thing I didn’t like was the packaging. It’s not a toy and everything else is great I’d definitely buy another! -Brandy Roark
Trending Review: Everything about this product is amazing. Down to every detail possible, this Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 is worth every penny! Blowback is incredible along with the weight of the Glock. Loading the CO2 into the magazine can be a challenge so make sure to take it slow to ensure not to cross thread.
Arrived on time, packaging was a little beaten up due to not being in a box, but was double plastic bagged. Glock was fine but plastic holding it was broken into pieces. Made it easier opening though so who am I to complain.
I give this an easy 10/10! -Alex
Ressuring Review: I’m picky when it comes to more expensive purchases ($100 and up), so after doing an exhaustive amount of research on blowback trainer pistols, this one best met the criteria for price point, quality, and scope of use.
INITIAL IMPRESSION:
Right out of the package, the gun felt good in my hand. No defects on any of the parts, smooth trigger and slide, and realistic operation of slide release (meaning it locks when its supposed to, and will chamber a BB when a fresh mag is loaded ans the slide is released). A huge plus is that there is zero leakage when installing a new co2 cartridge like you find with cheaper models.FIRING TEST:
Went out back and lined up on my dedicated targets (15 yards and 10 yards) accuracy was on point, no loading or cycling failures, trigger pull isn’t too heavy, and the slide blowback gives you the real-feel training that is what makes this gun 100% worth the asking price.CONCLUSION:
I’m very happy with the crsftsmanship, attention to detail, and performance. I would easily recommend this to anyone who wants to get in some range time without leaving the house or spending a bunch of money on ammo. I will definitely be buying extra magazines for reloading practice. -Diante Posey
6. Umarex Glock 19 Gen3 .177

Highlight: Compact, powerful, and true-to-form — the Umarex Glock 19 Gen3 .177 delivers authentic feel with reliable performance.
Constructive Review: It’s lit!!! All for my son’s to upgrade their aim game!!!
Official Glock 19 air pistol, safety first!
I like how powerful it is well at least the first clip after inserting the C02!! It’s worth the money in my opinion as it has multiple uses! Very simple instructions safety works perfectly and you can only fire it with real intent I like that you can’t tap the trigger and bam, you have to be intentional to actually fire it, I would say it feels like the real thing but I won’t because it is the real thing just made for a different use!! Everything I aimed at I came close enough to sell myself on how good it works for me!! -Jock Lilzock
Trending Review: This glock feels very real in my hand, the weight and size and it shoots very powerfully. It works well even under cold conditions, straight forward and helps me get ready for the real thing, definitely worth the money. Plus with today’s economy its best to use bbs rather than bullets for practice. And this gun will never jam or malfunction, just make sure CO2 is not weak when shooting or else the bullet will jam the gun due to lack of force (goes for any co2 gun). -Nicholas
Ressuring Review: Have bought this 2x bc it’s THAT great. Just as reliable and durable as all other Glock products, this thing is top notch. I’ve purchased two different generations of it only bc I have a bad little tendency to drop them ALOT. That being said, they are incredible and unmatched in how they handle being dropped over and over LOL. The latest one has actually taken so many hard drops that it has finally come apart but the pieces are so durable and the construction so simple that I’ve been able to put it all back together again and it still functions as perfectly as ever. I use it to scare coyotes away from my street bc for a while they had become very comfortable hunting the neighborhood cats and had become a serious problem. This little priceless tool allowed me exceptional accuracy, range and precision to combat them in a way that was acceptable even within the city limits and on a residential street. I was able to use it on only 3 occasions before they took the hint and have since omitted my street from their regular hunting grounds. That was nearly 2 years ago and to this day I don’t leave my house without 2 glocks. This one for the coyotes and my Glock 43 9mm for the not-coyotes.. If you need or want the best, look no further. This is what you want and you won’t regret buying it or want to continue searching for a better one once you’ve tried it. -Shiloh Bushon
7. Beretta APX .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Sleek, durable, and beginner-friendly — the Beretta APX delivers reliable power with a tactical edge.
Constructive Review: After checking out the vast selection of air pistols, and then trying to decide if I wanted blowback or not, I decided on this Beretta APX to be my first purchase of what will likely become a good sized collection. I’m not interested in trying to kill anything, or having some false sense of personal safety, that’s what real guns are for. What I want are lifelike replicas that add a little bit of fun to the mix by actually ejecting a projectile to plink targets and can be used to teach basic gun safety and how to aim and use sights correctly. The blowback feature just adds to the realism, though it wasn’t really a necessity, I do like it as it also allows me an opportunity to teach my kids to hold the gun correctly and not have hands or fingers near the moving slide. The slide remaining open after the last shot is spent was a nice touch of realism as well.
Definitely 5 stars on the design aspect as it is set up, weighted, and pretty much works as a real Beretta APX handgun would. The slide seems a bit loose, but this is a 60-70 dollar bb gun, not a 6-7 hundred dollar handgun. If expectations are kept in the realm of reasonability, this is a great buy for sure. It shoots pretty good, and lasts a few full magazines on one 12g CO2 cartridge. The sights can be adjusted the same as on a real handgun, and the picatinny rail on bottom allows for mounting a laser sight, tactical light, or both. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever, so 5 stars there too.
I bought a cheap, but durable universal drop leg holster and it fits perfectly just like the real APX. My only regret is that I didn’t order extra magazines, but I just put in an order for 2 more to remedy that, as it does take a bit of patience to load the 20 bbs, but with extra mags someone can be shooting while someone loads up a fresh one. Since my luck has been so good with this one, I can hardly wait to buy another. I’ll definitely be sticking with Umarex as long as I keep getting quality products for a decent price. I think a cool rifle will likely be my next purchase. As I said before, these are a great teaching tool for inexperienced people or kids interested in possibly owning and shooting firearms, or just for a little backyard fun to pass the time. If you’re looking for home defense or the like, this will likely only get you shot by someone with a real gun. Keep expectations realistic, and you can’t go wrong with this affordable blowback bb pistol. -Logan Betts
Trending Review: Feels high quality. Has a nice realistic weight to it. The slide is a little loose and makes a metal clacking sound, I personally like it. Slide does not serve any function in shooting bb’s. You can get 3-4 20 round mags before the co2 is weak. Not the most accurate as expected because of smooth bore barrel and round bb’s. It shoots through soft materials, will bounce if you shoot at a plastic water bottle. It is fairly loud up close.
Overall it’s worth the price, you definitely won’t be winning any contests with this thing but it is a fun plinker. -Jorge
Ressuring Review: This really isn’t a toy at all. It very much looks and feels like a real firearm. It may be a touch lighter, but even the barrel has a 40Cal bore where the BB comes out. This could cause issues in the wrong persons hands. But MAN, is this thing accurate. At 30- 40′ I was hitting a 2″ tomato. Extremely accurate. The 3 dot sights are very bright and easy to see even for this old man’s eyes. 20 round capacity. Simple loading. Blowback feeding, as in semi auto. And it’s pretty loud. I’d say on db level 1/2 of a 22 cal maybe.
I recommend it even if just for shooting practice in the backyard. The ONLY negative I have is the grip is difficult to remove for access to the CO2 Cartridge, but I’m sure that will loosen up with use.
Overall is better than I expected by far. -WinU
8. Colt Defender .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Reliable, realistic, and built tough — the Colt Defender delivers solid performance in a compact .177 BB pistol
Constructive Review: Bought as a gift for my FIL. He loves it. He had a few air guns back in the early 90s. Tech is pretty much the same, they’ve just streamlined a few things and the copies of all the real platforms out there is super neat. Scored this one just based on reviews, and it has been worth it. He shoots it everyday. He loves to pop cans and crap in the back yard. They have a gigantic property. Can’t beat it for the price. Toss in some bbs and a box of cans, fun for days! Be careful, you’ll shoot your eye out, kid! -NickyM
Trending Review: Excellent weapon. Right out of the plastic blister container I was impressed with the very accurate look, weight size and feel of a true Colt defender. Ease of loading the built in mag-rail and CO2 slot with the grips slid aft. Pressing the true weapon mag release button releases the grips to slide open, snap closed with a solid lock. Safety is accurate to the real weapon and quickly snaps fwd or aft. From the moment I commenced firing at the box it was shipped in, I knew I was having too much fun. 16 BBs gone in (way less than) 60 seconds….grouping on a duct tape center hole sharpie circle at 10 feet was all in, first time out. As far as varmint dispatching, the plastic trash can behind the target had several holes from the 10’ range.
Here in S FL there are numerous threats to my hunting dog, most notable are cane toads which secrete a fatal poison from their skin. 3 shots at close range made short work of a large one this morning. We also have large swamp rats that I haven’t tested yet but will I’m sure soon enough. Water moccasins are another threat and the quiet nature of this pistol makes it perfect for these backyard pests. Overall I’m very pleased and look forward to putting a lot of BBs down range.
Highly recommended! -Luca
Ressuring Review: My boyfriend and I had both ordered different airsoft style guns to shoot off in our local woods together, this is the one I had gotten myself. I guess someone had seen us and reported us to the local PD saying we were “shooting the wildlife” when we were only shooting trees. The cops came out and asked us to stop, the confiscated our “guns” but when doing that they actually complimented how realistic looking they were and how it felt realistic weight-wise.
I WOULD recommend to others, but I would also definitely make sure they know to be more careful than us with them lmao.
10/10 would recommend. -Cassidy
9. Umarex 9XP .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Reliable and powerful, the Umarex 9XP delivers realistic blowback action with impressive accuracy and a solid build.
Constructive Review: Gun is well made . It is a great training tool for teaching younger or older people fire arm safety. The blowback is a nice feature for teaching the proper way of holding a semi automatic hand gun. This is pretty loud also. Accurate is good until the co2 gets low. I put a laser site on mine and it’s groups fairly well for a co2 pistol. No problems with leaking. I’ve let it sit for weeks and it function just fine. Run steel. Copper and plastic BBs without any problems. Packs a good punch for rodents and pest removal. Word of caution.. this can easily be mistaken for a real glock or a similar model. Otherwise great for punching paper or cans. -Lucia
Trending Review: If you want an “old reliable” this is the gun to choose.
To curb spending on range time, I turned to bb guns, and the 9XP has to be one of my favorite semiauto bb pistol. It has good gas mileage at about 150-190 shots per CO2 cartridge (do not shoot gun upside-down as this drops to 20 shots per cartridge). Adapter kits to use PCP air fit really easily and I typically shoot 300 rounds per session. One of my biggest sessions was 4000 bbs in 2 hours. Poor thing just kept trucking.
The gas seals in the back wear out so the “blow-back” does not have the full punch (about 80 percent by feel ), but given that it is purely decorative as you finger does the loading, this does not affect function at all. The trigger is long and spongy, so no awards there, and can be misaligned. Disassembly and home repair are really easy for the gun, so it is essentially never going to break down. I have put about 60,000 bbs through it over the last year and while it looks worse for wear, it works almost like new. -DAX
Ressuring Review: Click to play videoThis is a great BB pistol, out of all the other guns that I’ve tried and tested out I would definitely say this one as well rounded it’s extremely accurate it has great distance and it has a great feeling your hand and also fits laser attachments wonderfully, highly recommend based on the accuracy. -Dre
10. Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P 40 .177 Caliber BB Gun Air Pistol

Highlight: Realistic blowback action and full-metal slide make the Umarex M&P 40 a top pick for training and backyard plinking.
Constructive Review: I love the pistol. The sights are great, i especially love the green glowing sight. The handle and slide out for inserting CO2, if you put too much pull, it can pop off, which is a feature in case you need to have more hand movement on the screw for the CO2 capsule. Build quality is great, ergonomic and beginner friendly. Magazine is easy to load, and is a slim stick type of magazine (due to the handle). The safety on the right side is an issue. You cant really put this in a designated holster for the same handgun. So I recommend flexible or fabric based holsters. The slide does not rack back. The packaging is that evil sharp plastic, get a scissor or razor based knife ready. Comes with a manual (recommend reading it all before handling) and the pistol with magazine. Its also a great training gun, since its realistic enough to use for the 4 rules on firearms. I recommend this airgun, but I will warn you that this is NOT A TOY. Respect this airgun as if it was a real firearm. Thank you Umarex, and I will be buying from you guys again! -Johnson
Trending Review: i just got mine in today and quickly tested it, and wow. I read most of the reviews here good and bad, I can’t find anything bad on this jewel for $40.
I only had a chance to fire 3 clips thru it roughly 60 and it was very impressive. I shot handguns most of my life well ok I’m old, for the past 50 years and I along with many others consider me to be an excellent pistolero. My point is I shot 3 inch groups at 30 feet with this gun right out of the box. Trigger pull will take a little getting used to but you have to do that with any new gun you buy. You won’t be disappointed with this BB pistol.
As always remember to follow instructions and co2 air guns require a little extra care to maintain in good working order, and as some have pointed out always put a little pellgun oil on the tip of the co2 cylinder it will help protect the seal in the gun. Happy shooting.
6/25/16 have had this gun for over a year and have shot over 1000 bb’s thru it and it is still going strong. It takes a little getting used to the trigger pull since it is a 2 stage pull. Once you master that you will be able to shoot excellent 2 inch groups out to 10 yards off hand. I can shoot at a 2 inch target at 7 yards and put the full magazine in the target. This is a fantastic shooter. Plus I can now consistently hit a soda can at 20 yards. You can not go wrong with this purchase. It’s just a great shooter.
Definitely recommend. -Manuel Reyna
Ressuring Review: This thing is a monster! I got this because I’m a big kid. I love BB guns, I love shooting BB guns, I love shooting soda cans with BB guns and watching them explode. I love shooting at old junkyard cars. Why? Because I can. This thing holds plenty of BB’s and is pretty simple to load. It’s heavy, feels like a gun and is a lot of fun. It’s also powerful. I wouldn’t want to get hit by one of these so please be careful. I got hit by a BB that ricocheted off of a thick, plastic dog house. It felt…well…like I got hit by a BB that ricocheted off of a thick, plastic dog house. It stung. Be careful, you’ll shoot your eye out. -Tylor
