1. Pelican Vault Long Cases Hard Case

Pelican Vault Long Cases Hard Case

Highlight: Built for unbeatable durability, the Pelican Vault Long Case offers rugged, weather-resistant hard protection for your gear on the go.

Supportive Review: Very nice case as expected from Pelican. Strong, secure, waterproof, versatile. I use it for miscellaneous storage in my late model hybrid Tundra truck. (For cargo straps, first aid kit, tool kit, jumper cables, gloves, etc.)

Since the typical under seat storage compartments are filled with the hybrid batteries, I needed some place to store little used but important items. Strapped upright to the front bed wall under the tonneau cover using the truck’s built-in strap clamps and an 8’ auto retracting come along strap. Easy to remove and relocate if the bed space is required. Nice setup! -T. Pariseau

2. Case Club Fits IWI Tavor TS12 Case

Case Club Fits IWI Tavor TS12 Case

Highlight: Engineered for precision, the Case Club Fits IWI Tavor TS12 Case offers rugged, waterproof, and custom-cut foam protection for your firearm.

Supportive Review: The case is sturdy. It does it’s job. Looks cool. Tavor fits snug. Fully loaded with the ts12 ammo slots filled, sidearm, and loaded magazines it wasn’t too heavy. Rolling wheels work well. The case length makes it easy to roll without clicking against my ankles or having to slouch when rolling it (and I’m 6,2).

My only complaint is that the sections of foam to remove aren’t very clear. The bolt digs into the foam some. Mag slots are sized for double stacks. Even my g19x Mags had a little play, though I don’t think they would fall out. Secondly, the foam for the shotgun rounds is a little deep. You can bury rounds in that foam easily making it a pain to get them outand removing a layer leaves 3 inch rounds pretty exposed above the padding.

Buckles are top notch. For the price, you can’t beat this case to have a custom cut inlay for your ts12. -Jonathon

3. Eylar 44 Inch Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case

Eylar 44 Inch Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case

Highlight: Built to withstand serious protection, the Eylar 44-Inch Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case provides rugged durability, waterproof security, and smooth-rolling transport for your firearms and gear.

Supportive Review: I had a drag bag originally but it gets weighted down pretty quickly and it doesn’t bode well with scopes. I saw this and thought I’ll try it because I can create the perfect padded space for my rifle with a scope. It’s super sturdy, locks up tight and sealed extremely well.

Once you lock it, nothing is getting in. The wheels are a game changer. Super easy to move around and because it’s made so well it is rather heavy. However that being said I would have no problem using this for airplane travel. Everything stays secure and well protected with the triple padding. Awesome case! Even the mailman complimented it when he delivered it. -Emelya

4. Eylar 38″ Inch Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case

Eylar 38 Inch Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case

Highlight: Built for rugged adventures, the Eylar 38″ Protective Roller Rifle Hard Case combines heavy-duty protection with smooth-rolling mobility for effortless transport.

Supportive Review: Some of the reviews had me wondering if this would be solid…IT IS!! The case is thick, and has a small amount of weight to it. The foam was easy to form in the shape I needed. I put one rifle, with a few mags in this one. I want a bigger one for my 18” .223 wylde build. It has to be disassembled to fit in this case. This is perfect for a 16” carbine. This even was fine with my mounted light. -Jerod

5. BluBox TSA-Approved Rifle Carry Case

BluBox TSA Approved Rifle Carry Case

Highlight: Built for serious protection, the BluBox TSA-Approved Rifle Carry Case keeps your firearm secure and travel-ready with durable, impact-resistant construction.

Supportive Review: This rifle case is exactly as described. Its very solid and built with quality materials. The water proof rubber O-ring around the edge fits nice and tight into the lid when closed, (unlike a lot of other cases) so no need to worry about water getting in. The 4 latches across the front close the lid tight and are also very sturdy.

The wheels are a plus, I had a hard time finding a case this size with wheels on it, a lot of smaller cases don’t come with them attached. The inside foam is good quality and perforated into 1″ squares so u can tear them out to fit your needs and get a nice snug fit around whatever you are putting in this case.

I highly recommend this case not just for a rifle but anything you need to carry around or fly with. You can also put locks on this case to keep your belongings safe. I would honestly put this Blubox up there with the other high dollar carry cases like pelican and might I say it might be a better product… Not even a question I would absolutely get one and I will be getting more. Good job Blubox. -James

6. Ellis Kas Trap Combo Shotgun EVA Hard Case

Ellis Kas Trap Combo Shotgun EVA Hard Case

Highlight: Durable and spacious, the Ellis Kas Trap Combo Shotgun EVA Hard Case keeps your shotgun fully protected and travel-ready.

Supportive Review: There are not many companies producing quality and affordable trap combo cases. I saw several other Amazon reviewers used this product successfully on their Tristar TT-15 Combo, so that encouraged me to order it. At first, I was a little concerned that the high ribs would warp the case when it was zipped up.

There was a pronounced bulging where the barrels were stored. The case seems to have flattened out as the foam on the top lid has compressed from the monoblocks. I was worried that the stock or other contents would come loose from their cutout compartments if the bulging created space for things to shift around. I can say that in the last 2 weeks of owning it, everything seems to be staying in place.

The construction and materials are very nice and seems like they will be durable and long lasting. My only nitpick is the zipper pulls. There is a space on the zipper/tab that could be tighter. The tab you grab to operate the zipper might come out of that gap. I carefully squeezed that with some pliers to narrow that gap. Other than that, it is a well constructed case.

It is worth the money, but the additional shipping is high. 10% of a product’s price just to ship it is a bit steep. -Tam Pon

7. MEIJIA Portable Rolling Hard Rifle Case

MEIJIA Portable Rolling Hard Rifle Case

Highlight: Effortlessly transport your rifle with MEIJIA’s rugged, durable rolling hard case built for ultimate protection on the go.

Supportive Review: This is a knockoff of a pelican case for half the cost. A couple of years ago I bought a similar case, with the exact same size and design, but a different color… And a different knockoff brand. But other than color and the branding sticker, these cases are exactly the same. Pick n pluck foam allows for an easy custom fit. Exactly what I wanted, no issue of any kind. -OC-Adam

8. RPNB Tactical Rifle Case

RPNB Tactical Rifle Case

Highlight: Rugged and spacious, the RPNB Tactical Rifle Case delivers ultimate protection for your firearm with shock-resistant padding and secure lock-ready latches.

Supportive Review: When you need the ultimate in protection from a hard shell equipment case, you can’t go wrong with Pelican. But, if you’re not headed to a war zone and just need to survive airport baggage handlers and maybe a drop or two, this case is a good value for the money.

Build quality seems solid, though the plastic used is more of the harder/more brittle variety (ABS?) than the softer Pelican material. Basically the same as what you would get with an Apache brand from Harbor Freight. I speculate that if the case was dropped from several feet high or sustained a sharp impact that it would crack more easily than a Pelican, but that extra durability is what you pay for in a Pelican.

Comes with the usual egg crate + cubed pluck foam + solid base foam. Pluck foam is thick and easy to pull.

Lid clasps have a tab that you have to manipulate to open them, which is fine, though may present extra points of failure depending on how rough you are on your gear.

In short, if you just need something to carry equipment from A to B via car or plane, this is a good value and you can probably get two of these for the price of one Pelican.

Rating this 5 stars because it is good and solid for what it is, and I’m not comparing it to a Pelican for purposes of a star rating. But if I was, I’d give it 4 stars vs 5 for Pelican based on the plastic. -daveNYC

9. Plano All-Weather Gun Case

Plano All Weather Gun Case

Highlight: Built tough to withstand rain, dust, and rough handling, the Plano All-Weather Gun Case keeps your firearm secure no matter where you go.

Supportive Review: This was an exceptionally well designed and manufactured gun case. It’s not flimsy like those that sell for 2/3 the price. You do truly get what you pay for in this case. The double action locks are all heavy duty, including the two that have built in locks. There are additional locking capabilities but with them built in probably only useful if the case would be out of your sight, say for shipment. Hinges are massive compared to flimsier cases.

This case ranks right up there with the toughness of professional road cases. I should know as a professional video producer. You will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of this case given its price point. Also, their help desk called back within the hour when I had a question, were pleasant and helpful.

Addendum: 9/4/25- to speak to the quality, usability and overall utility of Plano gun cases, I have not only had time to use this purchased on in transporting a firearm in this case in the back of my truck but have purchased the larger sized (with end handle and wheels) to hold longer rifles and shotguns, one up to 51 inches. The larger case not only holds two with scopes but three shotguns simultaneously protected and locked (as reqd in MA) also in the back of the truck.

Note this one has 4 sets of slots for tie down, keeping things solid in sometimes rough traffic. I have been recommending these cases now to members of my nearby club, as with additional new gun laws here, locked/secured protection during transit is mandatory.

10. VEVOR Rifle Hard Case

VEVOR Rifle Hard Case

Highlight: Rugged, weather-resistant protection designed to keep your rifle safe wherever you go.

Supportive Review: This case comes with inside foam on both the inside top and inside bottom. They’re some pre-cut areas for most rifles and shotguns. You can modify that if you choose w/o losing any integrity to the fitting of your guns. It has a nice 3 clasp connectioin to hold the top to the bottom and there’s also some holes at that same area to put some tie straps.

I’ve sent some shotguns out of state and I had the shipper add some plastic wrap around the entire ‘box’ to eliminate any opening in transit. The shipper also put the case i/s a heavy cardboard box as well before shipping out. I sent two (2) Browning A5’s to a gunsmith in Missouri (I removed the barrels and laid them along side the stocks, since the box is maybe 3 feet , close to 4 feet) and they arrived in excellent condition. It’s well made, very hard plastic to take the abuse from the guys working for FedEx and UPS. -David P Kloete
