1. SPYPOINT Flex-M Twin Pack Cellular Trail Cameras

SPYPOINT Flex M Twin Pack Cellular Trail Cameras

Highlight: Dual-camera value with nationwide cellular coverage, the SPYPOINT Flex-M Twin Pack delivers reliable, high-quality image capture and instant mobile access.

Constructive Review: First time using spypoint cell cameras but had to try it for the price. I’ve used many other brands ( more expensive) but after using this spypoint im really happy and would buy this over the others. Pictures are nice and clear day and night, trigger speed is fast. all pictures were taken right as the animal entered the frame so 3 burst would actually get you 3 pictures of the animal. Nice and compact, setup with app was easy and the best part is you get 100 pics a month free, no other brand gives you that. Battery life seems good so far. It does take the micro SD card not the full size so that may be a draw back for some. and the threaded hole is on the back of the camera instead of the bottom. Not a big deal for me cause I always just strap these to a tree, and lastly i did notice that the speed of the notification to your phone when the camera takes a pic is a little slower than my other brands usually takes about 40-60 seconds but not a big deal to me. overall very happy with the camera performance and price. -Chuck

Trending Review: I have used several trail cameras through the years for trapping animals. I keep coming back to this brand. They’re multifunctional with the night vision, ability to have the pictures sent directly to my phone, easy to put together and set up and are not huge and bulky for transporting in the fields. The pictures are crisp and clean and I love the app. The ability to have pictures sent to my phone as they’re taken has helped with trapping so much and the plans are reasonably priced. This model doesn’t have video functions (that will be my next purchase I promise you that) but the pictures are crisp and clean and assist so much in my rescue endeavors. -Allissa Specht

Reassuring Review: I’m not a hunter. I have this inside my house. It is a house that is far away and I don’t get to go there very often. Someone recently broke in and wiped me out. Dishes, glasses, small appliances, furniture, antiques, lamps, chandeliers, mirrors, decorations, EVERYTHING. There is some furniture left, and I know they are coming back for it, so I put one of these cameras inside so I can see them the minute they kick the door in again.

I had to run to W@lmart for eight AA batteries. I got the regular ones, not the crazy expensive ones. I got home with the batteries, but I had missed the part about needing a micro SD card. I went right back to the store for that, but they were sold out, so I was aggravated that I had to wait to complete this setup. These items should be written in NEON BOLD TYPE so that the buyer can be ready for setup the minute the Amazon truck pulls away. (By the way, why didn’t SpyPoint trying to up-sell me on these additional purchases? Hmmm. An opportunity missed.) Make sure you get a MICRO SD card rather than the regular size.

After I waited for the micro SD to arrive from Amazon, I installed the SpyPoint app on my android and starting setting up this camera. I have never owned anything like this, and it was still pretty easy to find my way around in the app. I have the camera set for two notifications: 1) motion, with immediate notification so I can call 911 right away, and 2) send me a picture every day at 6 pm. Since I am far away, the daily picture lets me know that the camera is live and functioning.

I don’t have wifi at my house, so this camera was perfect because it works off of a cellular signal. The cellular sim cards are built in and they will use the signal that is strongest at the location of the camera. I think they scan multiple carriers like AT&T, Verizon, etc. for the strongest signal. There is no extra charge for this.

Another bonus is that you get 100 photos per month transmitted to you via the app on your phone for free. If you run out, you can either wait until the new month rolls around, or you can buy a package with more photo transmissions for something like $5 per month.

In the app, you can see cellular signal strength, battery percentage, how many photos you’ve received, and how many days left in your 30-day photo cycle. My camera has been sending me one photo a day for a little over a month and I’m still at 78% battery. You can also ask it for videos, but I didn’t need that, and I need my batteries to last as long as possible. Also, some cameras are so sensitive that the sunlight/shadows moving thoughout the day can sometimes trigger motion. I didn’t want my batteries to run out because they were videoing that! I have received no false motion alerts.

It was the free 100 photos per month that made me zero in on this camera. Then, since I needed these cameras for tracking humans, not deer, this next feature made the sale for me: These cameras have GPS.

If the thief comes back into my house, I HOPE he steals this camera. Besides instantly receiving a picture of the thief’s face via the SpyPoint app, I’ll call both SpyPoint and the police and report the camera stolen. SpyPoint will then track the location of the camera and coordinate directly with local police. I believe their system even lets the “next” owner re-set up the camera on their phone, the thief might even buy the $5/mo subscription, and for any camera that SpyPoint knows is stolen, they will relay the “new owner” info to the police in addition to the GPS info.

Oh, I REALLY hope the pigs come back and steal this camera. -Susan

2. WOSODA 2-Pack Trail Cameras

WOSODA 2 Pack Trail Cameras

Highlight: High-resolution 30MP images, fast 0.3s trigger, and low-glow night vision—perfect for stealthy wildlife tracking.

Constructive Review: Don’t expect to make great large prints for your walls with this inexpensive trail camera. I use it mainly in video mode to track animal pests around my garden and my house and it is great for that. Last year the woodchucks were getting through my vegetable garden fence and eating my strawberries just before they got ripe. They would not go in my trap and I did not know how they got through the fence. Trail camera to the rescue! I soon discovered where they got under the fence and put my trap there and eventually caught them all. See the video.

Similar story with mice that we heard chewing inside the walls of our house. I set out the traps baited with peanut butter and cheese and didn’t catch any. Then I set up the trail cameras and saw them running around the traps set along the wall! So I needed better bait. I put a few drops of almond extract over the existing bait and caught 3 of them that night.

It is fun to see what animals come to carrion. A dead deer on our property attracted fox, coyotes, eagles, owls, opossums, racoons, and vultures. Night vision works fine for identification.

Video high resolution mode works best for these cameras. They trigger very well on animals, even a small mouse 10 feet from the camera or a squirrel 50 feet away. The main problem is if there are wind-blown bushes or trees in the near field of view, the camera triggers too often. It still doesn’t fill up a 32 GB memory card, but takes your time looking through all the videos for one you are interested in.

To speed-watch through the videos in my windows computer, I first select all (ctrl-A) then right click on the top one and select Play to view in Windows Media Player. If I don’t see an animal in the first second or two, I click on Next. With a card reader on an iPhone, you can swipe to the next one to quickly look for good ones.
Every time I put back the memory card, I format to erase the card as follows: Insert it with camera off, turn to aim mode, click OK 11 times, press arrow key to format “yes”, press ok, wait for it, then turn on, close the door, and aim.

Usually there is not a tree or post in the right place to strap up the camera, and it is very hard to get it aimed that way. Therefore, I made some quick camera stands as shown in the photo. The base is painted 16×16 inch plywood and the 32 inch metal conduit pipe is placed into a hole in a piece of 2×4 screwed to the plywood, with a drywall screw from the side to anchor it in place. The brick keeps it from blowing over in the wind. The top of the pipe has a dowel pressed into it with a hole for the ball mount provided with the camera. I also made a magnetic mount for my van to use when camping.

After three years of use one of the cameras’ processor froze up. I reported this to wosports.com and they sent me a replacement. Very good customer service. -Llamadave

Trending Review: Wow, customer service is top notch. I purchased these two cameras and was disappointed as I was not able to view in field unless I had a device to read card. I was just a day past return by date and was told by Amazon not able to return. Yes I wrote a review. The company contacted me the next day and asked how they could help. I stated that I was under the impression that I could review pics in field, they asked if they could send me a model that had that feature, I was surprised by this. I just received the new model and it is exactly what I was looking for. So I have edited my review, I will definitely be order my next trail cams from them. I would like to thank them for their amazing customer service. -Daniel

Reassuring Review: Bought these last fall to monitor wildlife on my property and I’m really impressed with them. I feel there is great value here.

I was a little uneasy with the prospect of replacing 8 AA batteries every couple of months, but I haven’t had to replace the batteries after 9 months of use. This is with an average of about 6 pics per day.

The quality of the photos is very good during the day and fair at night. -Dave

3. WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera 2 Pack 24MP

WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera 2 Pack 24MP

Highlight: Compact yet powerful, the WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera 2-Pack captures 24MP images with fast 0.2s trigger speed and clear night vision for reliable wildlife monitoring.

Constructive Review: I have had this camera for several weeks now. I followed the step-by-step instructions on setup, and had no problems getting them to work. The instructions were easy to follow.

I bought the two-pack of these cameras to use in my chicken pen, after I lost two pullets in one night, one the next night, and one a few nights later.

I mounted them to posts inside the pen, facing the open, brush loaded land behind my property, in order to determine what was killing my chickens, and how the heck it was getting inside. The very morning after I installed them, the two cameras picked up what looked to be a raccoon frat party on top of the coop, in the feed house, and all around the pen. One camera caught a raccoon pulling the chain link fence away from the frame and squeezing through. Another caught several others waiting their turn to gain entry. And every one of them did.

That day I “shored up the defenses” and overnight the one camera showed a possum at the same spot in the fence (that I had secured), but the other showed a raccoon sitting on top of the coop after a previous clip showed him working on the coop latches.

I’m happy to say that it has been three weeks now since the cameras caught anything other than blowing leaves, bugs, or chipmunks in the pen.

The images were AMAZING and the night vision was crystal clear as well.

We recently had three days where it has rained as if some giant being was standing over us and just emptying a huge bucket of water. These cameras have been exposed continuously to heavy, torrential rain, 90+ degree temperatures, and chickens pecking at them. No water has gotten inside, and there appears to be no damage on the casings from the chickens.

They come with a pretty long strap so they can be mounted on a decent sized tree, and also come with i dividual mounts that can be screwed into posts or other objects. They also each come with 32 GB SD cards (not the micro SD), so this is an excellent value.

I am actually contemplating a second purchase to enhance the security around my property. Excellent product and an excellent value! -Alexa

Trending Review: I have used various name brand of cameras over the years and I have to say for the price these cameras can’t be beat, The picture quality is very crisp and clear, night pictures are clear and the sensitivity pick up is impressive, I was hesitant based on the price and size, I have had 2 of these for over a year and they work so good I just ordered 2 more. The only complaint I have is you have to use the provided strap to secure the camera, my other cameras have mount holes so you can use a screw to secure them to a tree. The set up is simple and battery life is long. Definitely a quality camera for the price. Barry

Reassuring Review: Took a chance. Purchase choice on these was largely driven by the price.
We use them to monitor critter activity, and for security on property that we aren’t at every day. Their small size and camo cases makes them easy to conceal
The nighttime videos met our expectations just fine, but the daylight video quality is outstanding.
We were concerned that the smaller battery capacity (4-AAs) would mean a lot more frequent battery changes, but they don’t seem to be burning through them any faster than the larger cameras we have.
Very good bang for the buck with these. -Rose

4. Dargahou Trail Camera

Dargahou Trail Camera

Highlight: The Dargahou Trail Camera features 4K video, 46MP images, and a 0.1s trigger speed for ultra-clear, fast wildlife capture day or night.

Constructive Review: I recently got my hands on this game camera, and I must admit that I am thoroughly impressed! The camera has been an excellent addition to my outdoor gear, offering an exceptional blend of performance, durability, and ease of use.

The image quality is absolutely brilliant! Whether it’s the black and white night shots or the vibrant daytime images, the camera captures every intricate detail with impressive clarity. The high-resolution feature ensures that you don’t miss any action, no matter how quick it may be.

One of the most impressive features is its motion detection capabilities. The sensitivity is just right, capturing any movement without being set off by minor disturbances like a leaf falling. This feature, combined with its fast trigger speed, ensures that the camera captures everything from a swift-fox darting by to a slow, lumbering bear.

It’s incredible how this camera withstands various weather conditions. Rain, snow, or scorching sun, nothing seems to affect its performance. The robust build quality ensures longevity, making it a worthy investment for any outdoor enthusiast.

The battery life of this camera is another aspect that cannot be overlooked. I was pleasantly surprised by its longevity, eliminating the need for frequent replacements or recharges. This feature is particularly convenient for those long stints in the wild.

The setup process is simple and user-friendly. It doesn’t require any elaborate steps, making it perfect even for those who are not particularly tech-savvy. The menu and settings are intuitive, allowing for easy customization according to personal preferences.

Overall, this game camera is a fantastic product that delivers on all fronts. From its remarkable image quality and motion detection capabilities to its robust build and easy setup, it’s an outdoor gadget that is worth every penny. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter tracking game or a nature enthusiast observing wildlife, this camera is sure to enhance your experience by leaps and bounds. -keith ellis

Trending Review: This is my first trail camera and so far I am impressed with it. I got it so I could see what wildlife I may be missing in my backyard, especially after dark. I often see deer and turkeys and I hear coyotes howl at night, though I never see them during the day. I’ve had the trail camera for about a month and I’m happy with the results. I initially watched a couple of YouTube videos for recommendations for the camera settings to use. I found it easy to use the camera menu to adjust the settings to where I wanted them. I set it up for video recording and did a few trial runs using myself walking past the camera to trigger it. I did find that with the video resolution set to 4K I got inconsistent results. Sometimes the video was captured and other times there was an error message rather than a video. I theorized that the memory card installed in the camera might not be fast enough to keep up with the amount of data generated at 4K resolution, so I changed the resolution to 1080p. At 1080p the video has worked every time, and there have been no more error messages.
I set up the camera in my back yard and the very first night I got two videos of a doe and her fawn browsing in my lawn and bushes. The videos were taken shortly after midnight and the quality was very good. The next day I moved the camera down near the creek that runs through the woods behind my house. Over the next couple of weeks, the camera captured the doe and her fawn again during the daytime with really excellent video quality. It also captured a large 9-point whitetail buck that I had never seen in my backyard before. The video was taken at dusk so it looks more like a nighttime video with very good quality. At other times there were videos captured of deer and a red squirrel.
It has rained A LOT since I got the camera and so far the interior has remained dry. Hopefully, it will continue to resist the rain this well going forward.
Overall I am very happy with my first experience with trail cameras and would recommend this one to my friends and family.

Update after a year of use: After writing my initial review I found that the camera did not remain waterproof after a the first couple months of use. I bought a “rain cover” for it, the cover looks like a visor that straps to the tree and keeps rain off the camera. Since using the rain cover for the last 9 or 10 months I have not had any issue with moisture getting into the camera, no matter how much it rains.
Battery life has been fantastic, I just replaced the batteries for the first time after a full year of use. Where the camera is set up I only average about 1 video per day, so that may account for the long battery life.
Given the low price and overall good performance, I’m still very happy with this camera despite the flaws that I’ve noted. -Karis

Reassuring Review: This trail camera is everything I wanted. There is a large green space behind our house and we have a water tub there which attracts animals. Most captures have the animals at 1 – 2 meters. I’ve attached a night time picture and a daytime video from the camera. The picture is just before dawn so the sky is brighter than it would be. The date was set wrong (my fault) in the camera, so I cut off the bar at the bottom.

I’m using the highest resolution for still images (6656×3744). The quality is very good for the price of the unit.

The videos are (2560×1440) and the quality is very good for the price of the unit.

Daytime images are better than night time, as would be expected. For night time, the sensitivity of the camera is surprisingly good. With city lighting of the sky at midnight, the outline of trees can be clearly seen against the sky.

The IR lighting in the camera is quite bright. If there was any request I would make it would be that the camera would turn down the IR brightness when the animal is very close. Otherwise it can be whited out.

I haven’t had a chance to run the batteries down yet. I notice in the videos, which include the battery indicator, that it drops a little during the recording, which you would expect. Right now I’m guessing the 8 AA cells will last 3 to 4 weeks with 24 hour monitoring. I can run AC out to the unit, so I may power it from that later on.

I’ve been pulling the captures off the camera every day which is very easy. The provided cable plugs into the unit and into a computer’s USB port and the unit acts like a flash drive.

Everything I’ve seen about the unit says “quality” and “thoughtful design” -Stan Burton

5. SPYPOINT Trail Camera

SPYPOINT Flex M Twin Pack Cellular Trail Cameras 1

Highlight: The SPYPOINT Trail Camera offers lightning-fast cellular photo delivery, smart detection technology, and easy remote access—ideal for hands-off wildlife and security monitoring.

6. GardePro E6 Trail Camera

GardePro E6 Trail Camera

Highlight: The GardePro E6 Trail Camera features Wi-Fi connectivity, 24MP image quality, and no-glow night vision for discreet, high-performance wildlife scouting.

Constructive Review: This is a great trail camera. I got this to see some of the wildlife that hangs around my bird feeder. We get lots of deer, foxes, raccoons, and even the occasional skunk. I was able to attach it to a tree about 15 feet from the feeder and it works great. Catches a lot of stuff at night too. The picture quality at night is what you would expect from a night vision video, a little bit blurry but it does the job. The day videos are great quality. The only thing is the motion sense is very sensitive so if there’s a branch nearby and it happens to be a windy day, your going to have sooo many videos to look at. The way this works is that you have to buy an SD card for it. I bought a 256 GB SD card, and put it in the camera along with a few batteries, it was either AA or AAA, sorry I don’t remember. You download the app on your phone, they give pretty straightforward instructions. Then you have to be a certain distance from the camera to be able to see the images and videos on your phone. It can be kind of annoying sometimes, but it’s ok. We had the camera up for a few weeks before we had to change the batteries. The app on your phone will tell you what percentage the battery is at as well as how much storage is used up on the SD card. I had never gotten or dealt with a trail camera at all before, but this was pretty simple to use and works well. -Adobie

Trending Review: This is a really, really good camera and the results we get are very good. We use it for cat rescue and TNR. The images and movies in daylight are in great color and the night vision is very good too. Including recording and downloading I would say it takes a couple of percent battery life per day. Considering everything, I think the battery life is very good and the value per dollar is fantastic. We haven’t really gotten into many of the features, just arming, recording, downloading and erasing. We chose not to go with a camera with an active cell connection in order to save on getting a cell plan.

I don’t know when this was originally designed and built, but I feel it gives great value in May 2025. You do need to supply an SD card and AA batteries, so factor that into the cost. We got a 128GB SD card (way overkill) for under $20 and are using Duracell AA batteries that are still 75% full after 3 weeks of nightly use (and some daytime as well).

The tech stuff: As a tech maker myself I am very impressed with this product. It uses creative tech to save on battery life, and that tech might seem weird or difficult at first to a non-tech person. First, the camera provides a very low power Bluetooth connection at all times. This means you can approach the camera from say 20ft or less and “connect” to it. This is what provides the great battery life. Now, to download the images and movies, Bluetooth would be way too slow, so you use the app, connected via Bluetooth, to launch the WiFi data transfer. It’s easy to do, but new users may find this odd at first. So then you can use high speed WiFi to download the data and then “disconnect” the WiFi. This happens more or less automatically when you use the app, which is quite nice by the way. We are using an older Samsung phone to get the data. We found this much easier than removing the SD card. The camera can also be powered from a DC adapter if desired. The adapter jack is standard barrel style (not USB).

I think the only improvement I could suggest would be an large internal rechargeable battery, but I haven’t done the math to know how many mA hours of battery would be needed so I can’t say if this is a better idea or not. As a product, I am very impressed with the work that went into making this. -Grant B

Reassuring Review: I never write reviews but this product is amazing. So easy to set up so well built so inexpensive. I cannot believe that you can get this much well-built technology at this price. Seems like all the bugs are out of the free app that you use to watch videos on your phone. Much to my surprise it does not have to go on your home network, it just talks to your cell so there’s no security issues. This kind of stuff can be daunting sometimes to get to work but I don’t even think I looked at the directions, the app pretty much puts everything right in front of you so you can set it the way you want. Obviously since I just set it up yesterday I can’t vouch for its longevity, waterproofness or range. I’m using this to see who’s in my vegetable garden when I’m not looking. Maybe I’ll get another one for the hummingbird feeder. -Elliot Johnson

7. Meidase P200 Trail Camera

Meidase P200 Trail Camera

Highlight: Ultra-clear 32MP images and 1296p video with night vision for reliable wildlife monitoring, day or night.

Constructive Review: This trail cam is pretty easy to set up and has a lot of settings to work with. The day light pictures are very sharp and the day light video clips are good. The pictures have good detail and you have many different size options. Night pictures are black and white and also are good, it is easy to make out what the camera captured. Night time pictures took 50-60 foot out.

The shutter speed seems fast as advertised. Battery life has been very good. I use quality name brand batteries in the cam, so make sure to use them not generic/cheap brands, maybe that is why some reviews claim bad battery life. Also make sure to take off ALL the plastic protective strips, not just off the lens but also the PIR sensors and the infra red light array. The camera was out in an all day long rain storm with heavy rain blown wind and when I checked it the next day it was completely dry inside, so it is weather proof. I like you can check your pictures right on the LCD display with out need to remove the SD to a computer.

The included USB cable worked fine and the SD read on my computer right away when inserted, so all the ways to access your pictures work without a hitch. The info stamps for the pictures have all the details I need. For the money this is a great trail cam as long as you have realistic expectations of what it can capture. If you are expecting professional grade pictures, especially night ones that look like broadcast natures shows, then this is not what you want…and will have to spend a whole lot more money to get. But if you want good solid pics that will show you what critters are coming around and good enough to post on FB
etc. then give this trail cam a try. -David Baydowicz

Trending Review: This is my fourth trail camera. The other three brands that I’ve owned in recent years, failed but of course just late enough that II could not return them. Some failed much faster than others. Non of them were WiFi capable and cost more than this one. The WiFi connectivity makes it really convenient to check what has been captured. I’m using rechargeable batteries and they have been hold power much better than they did in the other cameras, some of which I found out didn’t really support rechargeable battery use. (oops) I was skeptical if this remote connection thing would really work but it does and very happy with it so far. Hope the thing makes it through the winter and beyond. -Paul B

Reassuring Review: I’ve never had a trail cam before, but this one was really cool. The battery life is really good even in very cold weather (I have been using alkaline Duracell batteries) , and although I’ve had to gain experience with the various settings, it’s definitely showing me the wildlife that is visiting my yard both day and night. I wish the Wi-Fi had a longer range, but overall it’s a really cool camera with good resolution and with the proper card for memory, it allows you to take a lot of pictures. I highly recommend it. -D. Rodehaver

8. DEATTI Trail Camera 48MP

DEATTI Trail Camera 48MP

Highlight: The DEATTI Trail Camera, built for rugged outdoor performance, captures every detail with 48MP clarity and 4K video.

Constructive Review: This is a nice, easy to use, simple trail camera to use on your property. It’s very easy to connect to the camera from your phone when you get near the camera, view and/or download the pictures, and keep or delete them. Any time you want to set up or move the camera, you can see what the camera sees right on your phone screen, so it’s easy to tell that you have it positioned the way you want it. The battery life is good, too. I’ve been using this trail cam for a couple months now, and it’s been great so far! -C. Garbrick

Trending Review: I’ve been using the DEATTI Trail Camera for a month to monitor my property and keep an eye on wildlife, and it’s absolutely phenomenal! The 48MP photos and 4K videos are razor-sharp, capturing every detail, even at night with the no-glow night vision. The 0.1s trigger speed is incredibly fast, sensitive enough to catch cars passing on the road hundreds of feet away, making it perfect for monitoring driveway activity or distant property boundaries.

The WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity is a standout feature. I can easily view and download images to my phone via the intuitive app, which connects flawlessly within 20 meters. Setup was quick, and the included 32GB SD card and 8 AA batteries got me started immediately. The battery life lasts about two weeks with frequent captures, and the IP66 waterproof design ensures durability through rain and wind.

I adjusted the motion sensor sensitivity to avoid triggers from small movements like branches, which was straightforward. This camera is a fantastic value, offering professional-grade features for property security and wildlife observation. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a reliable, high-quality trail camera. It’s quick, sensitive, and delivers stunning results! -John Schnoor

Reassuring Review: I previously had purchased a trail cam and my son said no, no. Return that and get a good one. This is the one he picked out for me and came out to set it up for me. I bought to put near my front door as my dog goes nuts at night when something is prowling, but I had never seen anything. So….the reason for the trail cam. This camera was an easy set up, partly because my son was familiar with trail cams and the instructions were easy. It takes beautiful crisp, clear pictures which you can view on a free app they supply you with. Night pictures are almost as clear as the day pictures. We had it on video for a while, but decided to switch back to stills to keep from running the battery down to fast. This camera doesn’t just face forward either. It has lens on either side. I am glad my son had me return the other camera. I am very happy with this one. -Jackie blue

9. WOSODA 36MP 1920P Trail Camera

WOSODA 36MP 1920P Trail Camera

Highlight: Capture crystal-clear wildlife shots with the WOSODA 36MP Trail Camera featuring 1920P Full HD video and lightning-fast 0.2s trigger speed.

Constructive Review: I have some land near Yosemite and I wanted to see if there were any animals on the property when we weren’t around. I bought three trail cams looking for something decent with little investment. I got a Tasco from Walmart, a Stealth brand and this WOSODA. The Tasco took decent pics, but triggered on every little branch blowing in the breeze and the Stealth was good, maybe as good as this one, but it was twice the price. I paid $36 for this unit and it is WAY better than I expected. I just bought another one since I’ve now got the videos off the SD card. I originally only put in a 32GB SD card not knowing what to expect. This time I bought a 256GB for the new camera because the videos were so good. If I fill this one then I’ll go for 512GB and then 1TB (which this camera can go up to).

I set it up in April of 2024 and just now took it down to check the videos. So it was out for a whole year in the 120 degree summer days and 10 degree winter nights, rain, snow etc. and a bear even pawed it a couple times. Still works like a charm and still looks brand new.

It takes 8 AA batteries, so used Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries because I didn’t know how much it would possibly burn through batteries since I was taking all videos. Well after a year of videos and the temperature changes it still has FULL battery indicator.

It took great videos in pitch black, just at dawn when infrared light was still getting triggered, in the day bright sun and when shaded in the day. It got just a little grainy in the shadows just at dusk, but even then was plenty good enough. -Jeff H

Trending Review: Bought this camera because it was on sale, didn’t expect much. I was surprised to see that it takes better pictures than the Stealth Cam brand cameras that are 2x to 3x the price. I have 2 of those which seem to have a narrow view and do not work as well as these. These cameras also have a digital display that makes setup super easy. I like them so much I ordered 2 more. Great product.

UPDATE: after several months of using them I have discovered a few things. 1) the battery meters on the screen do not work. This is not a big deal but if you don’t know you will think the camera is malfunctioning. All 4 of mine will show 2/3 battery life with fresh or after running for weeks. If you notice the amount of pics your getting in a night decrease. Change your batteries. I go from 500-1200 pics a night (5 sec shot lag) to less than a 100 I know the batteries are weak. Weak batteries seem to lower the motion sensor sensitivity. My Amazon rechargeable batteries (black ones) last around 5k pics on 24mp, 5 sec shot lag. I do not use video mode so cannot speak on that.

2) if you have a camera that didn’t record any pics since reinserting the memory card. Format the card in the settings. Maybe 1/20 or 30 times. When you dump the card something doesn’t go right and the card doesn’t wipe clean which will jam the camera from recording on it. Format the card and all will work again. Also when you reinsert the card put the screen on AIM mode so you can see the screen and ensure that the card mounts sometimes you will put the card in and it will say “memory card error” it is just not seated right and you need to click it out and back in.

These things do not happen all the time and would not stop me from buying it. Just little nuisance that I thought might help someone who would otherwise think there was an actual issue. Still love these cameras. Have gotten some incredible pics. -Clark

Reassuring Review: I own four of these trail cameras, my most recent purchase was last month. These cameras work great, especially for the price. I use these on public land in Lower New York State. They have weathered all four seasons with no issues. I highly recommend these cameras not only for the quality but also for the customer service. I recently had a minor issue with one of my cameras and sent customer support an email. Later that night I received a response and within two days they resolved my issue and replaced the trail camera. It’s a good product but even better customer support. I highly recommend this camera. -Rive

10. Moultrie Edge Cellular Trail Camera

Moultrie Edge Cellular Trail Camera

Highlight: Real-time image capture with built-in cellular connectivity.

Constructive Review: Truly a great cam and the viewing angles and great. You can see anything day or night, and it functions as stated on their page and in other reviews. Was so easy to set up, connects easily and stays connected.
I used the 16battery option and even bellowing freezing this thing is still going strong. I have the $18 a month package with one cam, but it’s worth it ~ trust me ! I get photos, and have the ability to request up to 50videos a month. Not sure about the storage capabilities because all my photos are stored on the app and that’s all I need. (Storage capacity in camera?)
Through rain, blaring sun, snow and a few crazy windy storms, this thing has given me zero issues. I have never been happy with a purchase for a cam. I don’t believe for this price point you will get any better. Motion sensor has never failed me, and you can even chose what animal you are looking to record to save batteries. Chose people vehicles etc. yes it’s a great cam all around 10✨! -DeeHyatt

Trending Review: We purchased this to monitor a storage rental that was broken into. A battery powered cellular device was needed. Maintaining the service is not cheap but peace of mind is worth it. It detects when we visit storage, we have had two motion-detect false alarms in about 10 months (with the low res pictures showing that nothing happened). It also takes and notifies a low res test picture every 24 hours so we know its still working. The downside is you get a very limited number of high res image downloads on the basic plans. You are paying per month to keep it running but unless you pay for the higher priced plans you don’t get those high res pictures in abundance.

As such its far better as an alarm than to get usable pictures of any thieves, since they would doubtless break or disable the camera before you could download those high res images. Still useful for the price. -R. Jordan

Reassuring Review: So I waited to write a review, first off the battery life isn’t great (you can get a 12V battery that makes all the difference) but I gave 5 stars because I think this camera for the price deserves 5 stars! It has the absolutely coolest feature I didn’t even realize it had. So my old moultrie camera you can request a high definition picture if you want to see details, well this camera has a photo+video mode (video has always killed my batteries so fast) well if you put it on that mode it will take normal pictures but instead of requesting a high definition pic, you can request a video and it will send it the next time it connects! It’s a 15 second long video with sound!!!! How freaking cool is that!!!! A 99$ cellular camera that doesn’t need a sd card and that can connect to the best data service….. I mean wow I honestly don’t know what else to say. I have mine over a food source so the constant pictures of the same deer drains the crap out of my battery so I’m not gonna complain about battery life when this camera offers so much more! I’m 1000% satisfied!!! I’ve tried a ton of different brands from 100$ to 500$ and so far this is my absolute favorite!!! -Scott

11. Punvoe Trail Camera 2 Pack 36 MP

Punvoe Trail Camera 2 Pack 36 MP

Highlight: Capture crystal-clear wildlife footage with 36MP resolution and a 2-pack convenience in the Punvoe Trail Camera set.

Constructive Review: These were accurately described and have functioned very well. They were a little smaller than we expected but not because the description was not accurate. The monitor is small but about the same size as a little larger camera. The picture is of good quality. It takes stills and video and has sound.

The night vision works well, they are waterproof and seem to be durable. They do not seem to use a lot of batteries. There are no instructions but my husband figured it out with not to much trouble, and he is not the technical person in the household.

We would buy these again. We also bought some 1.5 V rechargeable batteries. -James

Trending Review: I recently ordered several trail cameras to determine which would best suit my needs, and I am pleased to say that this particular model exceeded my expectations. Unlike the others I tried, which proved cumbersome and lacked sufficient memory, this camera effortlessly connected to my device and offered a seamless user experience. Its impressive functionality and ease of use truly set it apart as the ideal choice for my trail monitoring needs. -Jake

Reassuring Review: We’ve been enjoying videoing the wildlife in our yard. Love the cameras. They work well. The only thing i would change would be how you turn it on and off. It is on the bottom of the camera inside so it is awkward to set it up. having it on the top would be much easier. We also bought the trail camera stands which make it very easy to move them around in our yard. -Maryalice

12. usogood Trail Camera

usogood Trail Camera

Highlight: Ultra-clear 4K video and 30MP photo capture with lightning-fast 0.2s trigger speed — never miss a moment in the wild with the usogood Trail Camera.

Constructive Review: I purchased three of these cameras and have been testing them out over the last month. So far so good!! They are so easy to setup. There’s a variety of settings to choose from and the menus are simple to navigate. I like that you can adjust the resolution, video length, etc. and there enough variables to choose between higher quality/resolution vs maintaining battery life. Granted, these are my first trail cams so I don’t have much to compare to but I find the photo and video quality to be good. Haven’t bothered much with sound. The build quality seems very good as well. Especially at this price point.

My only gripe thus far is that the side sensors seem a little sluggish. Some of my photos and videos seem to trigger only when the animal is directly in front of the camera meaning the photo or video only catches it mid-frame. In the video, you can watch it walk out of the frame but not so much into it, if that makes sense. Still playing with the settings and positioning of the cameras to see if there is a way to improve this. It’s a minor thing, anyway.

So far we capture ourselves & our dogs the most 😂 but also lots of deer, opossum, fox ….. Attached photo is a bobcat at night. Camera was set to a very low resolution & tucked into some bushes (not ideal setup as you can see) but the quality was still decent IMO. If the focal point hadn’t been the bushes the cat would’ve easily been more clear. I’ll post some better examples in the future.

Overall very happy with my purchase. Will likely buy a few more. -Liz P.

Trending Review: Wow, considering the price I am really impressed with this tail camera. The setup was quite easy. It didn’t take long to be able to run through all operations. The video quality is quite good and I have not yet tried 4K….I have it on 1080p, which I think is quite sufficient. When you consider the camera comes with the SD card installed and comes with batteries, the buy is a steal. The mounting strap is high quality, olive drab, and not shiny. All latches are high quality and lock sufficiently. Though I rated the night vision as four stars, I did so without testing it. I assume it will be fine. My only negative comment is regarding the peel-off plastic protectors on the IR side sensors. One of mine was quite difficult to remove and in doing so it sort of put a crease in the thin plastic sensor. That sensor should have a more robust lens. After fully testing this camera in darkness I will come back and edit if there is an issue, but as it stands, I cannot believe the quality and features at this price. -Wayne J

Reassuring Review: We do a lot of ghost hunting and thought why not try some trail cameras to capture footage. And this camera came with batteries and an SD card already. This camera is fantastic! The quality is great! The motion detection works really well you can set it to what you want and how often. It doesn’t have wifi or Bluetooth connectivity but that’s okay. The clarity of the videos is great too! You can also choose the pixel quality if you want to save some space on the SD card but it has high resolution video and picture quality options. You can also use the strap to put it on something or get a tripod to place it on as well! Highly recommend! -William

13. RIGDOO Trail Game Camera

RIGDOO Trail Game Camera

Highlight: The RIGDOO Trail Game Camera captures stunning wildlife detail with ultra-high resolution day and night.

Constructive Review: I bought this camera for my parents for Christmas after their previous one stopped working. They leave it in the backyard woods to capture wildlife, and it’s been great. We’ve had it for almost a month and no issues or complaints. What I like about this one is the camera preview so you can see what area the camera will record. The videos come out clear, and it’s got great night vision. Easy to use. You insert the memory card and turn it on and then you have 15 seconds to close it up before the motion sensor will start detecting and picking up footage (not the worst thing, but it’s nice it gives you time without nonsense footage being picked up). Would definitely recommend! -Hannah

Trending Review: I live on an acreage and have outdoor cats. I have a cat door on my shed so the cats have easy access to shelter and food. The cat food would start disappearing completely before the morning. I’ve always suspected that a raccoon had discovered the convenience of the cat food. I bought a cheap trail cam that ended up being very difficult to set up and use and also used up the batteries within days.

After doing more research, I purchased this trail cam and have been very happy with it. I have this set up inside my shed, directed at the cat door. I use a DC power supply so I don’t have to worry about batteries. I love the lcd screen and use it to review the previous night’s activity. I have it set up to only record during the night because I’m only interested in the nocturnal activity, that’s the only time raccoons come around. Now, I know when I need to worry about setting up a trap, so I can relocate a wandering raccoon. Glenn

Reassuring Review: We have only had the camera up for about a week, but so far it is working well. Images and videos are surprisingly clear for the price of the device. We really like that you can see each video on a small screen inside the trail camera without having to take down the device or take out the SD card and bring it indoors. We also like that there is a vertical adjustment on the camera so you can angle it correctly even if the tree it is strapped to is growing at an odd angle. We will have to see how this holds up for the long-term but in the short term we are very happy with it. -Carolyn Loeb

14. OUTDOOR EXPERT 20MP Mini Trail Camera

OUTDOOR EXPERT 20MP Mini Trail Camera

Highlight: Capture crystal-clear wildlife shots with the OUTDOOR EXPERT 20MP Mini Trail Camera—compact, durable, and motion-activated for 24/7 outdoor surveillance.

Constructive Review: This camera proved to be a reliable tool for monitoring wildlife in our backyard. It delivers crisp, vibrant colour photos and videos during the day, while nighttime images—though not as sharp—still provide clear visibility in total darkness.

The motion sensitivity is impressive, though nearby moving objects can occasionally trigger false detections. To ensure accurate performance, securing the camera to a solid, immovable surface is essential, as any unintended movement can also cause false triggers.

Setup was hassle-free, with intuitive controls that didn’t require opening the case to adjust settings. Once in place, the camera operates seamlessly, day in and day out, under all weather conditions.

Overall, this camera exceeded expectations with its durability, ease of use, and reliable functionality. -Lvco

Trending Review: I’ve had this camera now going on 2 years, it still has the same 6 batteries, quality at night isn’t perfect but its a game camera, it takes great pics during the day and I have no issues with the night time pics, for 34.00 dollars, the camera works great. love it so much that I’m buying a second one. -Renee

Reassuring Review: We got this to see what visits our garden overnight. We have had so much fun with this. We now know how many cats come and go. This camera is very easy to use and set up. The photos are pretty clear and you have to look very closely sometimes for something like a mouse, but this has given us hours of laughter so far and it wasn’t too expensive either. Would (and have!) recommended. -Judy Owen

15. WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera

WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera

Highlight: WOSPORTS Mini Trail Camera delivers 1080P HD video and infrared night vision for clear, low-light captures.

Constructive Review: Ok so I don’t usually do reviews but I tried this camera out because it was on sale for Black Friday. I’m a big time hunter and I’ve used all the popular brands out there. I got these just to use for more scouting. Pretty impressed for how cheap they are. Daytime pics are great, nighttime pics a pretty good and video is great! Super easy to setup and they are really small. About the size of the palm of you hand. If your wanting a good trail camera that doesn’t break the bank give em a try. I liked the first one so much I ordered 3 more! -Andrew momper

Trending Review: I had some sort of critter stealing an old shoe from my deck. After I found the shoe in various places in the yard, I bought this trail cam to discover the thief. Of course, now the shoe is no longer being touched. But the camera would have solved the mystery for sure! It works great. At first I had trouble with the settings because I didn’t realize you lose some of them when you re-format the SD card. I reached out to customer support and wow, they couldn’t have been more responsive. I’ve always wanted a trail cam but felt they were complicated and expensive. This is a keeper, and I just ordered a second one to place somewhere else. -Braces

Reassuring Review: For the money, these have been great cameras! I live in a harsh environment, and have had my oldest camera out for approximately a year and half with no issues. Its been out in temps ranging from 100+ to -25 degrees Fahrenheit without issue, no fogging or condensation and they are fairly gentle on batteries. They shoot great day and night pictures, easily outperform cameras twice their cost. Only thing that i think could use improvement is the screw in mount, it gets knocked off angle pretty easily. Strap works great though if you dont need to aim it. Ive included a picture from my property, ignore the angle, a deer bumped this one with its nose earlier that week. -Justin
