1. AOFAR HX-1200T Range Finder for Hunting

Highlight: Adopting the latest Al technology, supports bow and range in two modes, dustproof, fogproof, and waterproof for all hunting enthusiasts.
Constructive Review: I bought this Range Finder to use while target practicing and hunting. I took it to work and tested it shooting traffic signs at various distances. I was impressed at the long distances I was able to shoot. Granted traffic signs are retroreflective, and not like what you would shoot while hunting, I was still impressed. I would shoot a sign, convert yards to feet, and then use my truck-mounted GPS Distance Measuring Instrument (DMI) to measure the target.
Many of the signs were not on an exact tangent and error was a constant due to me having to follow the slight curves in the road. I shot the following Yards/Converted feet/Measured feet:
792/2376/2375, 967/2901/2889, 1204/3612/3605, 1428/4284/4227. I was very impressed with the two long distances both passing the unit’s claimed extent. The unit is easy to use and is everything I expected. The only downfall would be the backlight and the inability to be able to see the display in low-light conditions. I would highly recommend this unit for its accuracy and ease of operation. It came very well packed in a nice box, with a camo carrying case, a long lanyard, cleaning clothes, and a battery. Great Product for a good price. -Bratdog
Trending Review: I had no idea this range finder was as sharp, accurate, and easy to use. This item had come in while we were leaving our home (headed out to eat), so I tossed it in the truck. I was pretty curious so I Left the wife at the dinner table and went out to the parking lot to try these out. Within a few minutes, I was registering items over 700 yards away. This rangefinder is crystal clear and very bright. The price is perfect and it came in a tree-camo carry case, very solid and nice. Gotta love the elevation/downhill/uphill/straight-on measurements as well. One more thing, the container this item is packed in virtually ensures the item will arrive undamaged. Very handy to buy this with confidence. -Dalhend
Reassuring Review: I normally don’t write these things but this product truly surprised me. After losing my Bushnell yardage pro that I have hunted with for many years, I decided to get a new one. Hoping to find my old one I was looking for something less expensive. I found one or two reviews of this one and it seemed to be well liked. I got the H1200T model. Others like it had a shorter max range but for the money, this seemed like the one I needed. The only question was if it would truly range that far. So I took it out on the opening of deer hunting in MN and found a grain silo in the distance. It locked on and gave me a result that appeared correct. Did it a couple more times and it was always within a yard or two. Verified later with a buddy’s unit that it was correct.
I like the 25mm objective lens for low-light shooting and the 6 power is perfect. I also love how light and easy to use it is. It came with a nice hard camo case to match the camo color on the unit. I also love the Hunter mode that compensates for arrow drop when shooting from above or below the target. Even though the brand is not well known (by me at least) I am extremely pleased with it so far. R.Feldhege
2. Bushnell 4×21 Hunting Laser Rangefinder

Highlight: Beautifully designed with durability built to last; Simple single-button operation in a compact, lightweight housing.
Constructive Review: This is a great item! Got it to give as a Christmas present for my 16-year-old son. He and my husband both love it. It seems very accurate and functions very well. On an interesting note, the battery listed here in the item description is not the battery it needs. I bought a CR 2 battery as the item description stated. To my surprise, it needed a 9-volt battery. Luckily, we had one on hand. Although the clock by my bed is temporarily out of commission, at least we were able to fiddle with the Christmas gift on Christmas morning. We were able to measure the distance from the window to the door in the living room as 12 yards.
That was correct! Measured it myself. My son measured the distance from the porch to the cedar tree by our barn as 236 yards. My husband says that sounds about right. I don’t plan on measuring that one. My two mighty hunters are out even now measuring stuff and making plans for how they will use the range finder in their future hunting adventures. I am adding a 9-volt battery to my shopping list so I can reload the alarm clock by my bed. Thanks for a great product and fast, efficient delivery! -Jill Jolly
Trending Review: Recently purchased a new range finder indicated above…….the range finder that I had lasted 12 years and was very satisfied with the performance until it broke. When I ordered the new one I selected the same model which was a different camouflage color which was a dark brown. The one I received was pretty much the same color as the original. Was disappointed that the color was the same when the item showed a dark color brown.
Also, the battery which the new one required was a 9 volt the old one used a round battery and required a screw driver to remove and replace. The old battery was removed with the finger which made it easier to replace in the field. The case that came with the new one is not the same quality as my old one which I will be using as it looks brand new after all those years. I am satisfied with the performance of the new but not the color and case. Thank you -Joseph Lena
Reassuring Review: Great little range finder and a real bargain. But, before you buy be sure you understand what it’s intended for. I see where some reviewers complain that it didn’t work at 350 yards on an Antelope or a bull elk 850 yards away. This is a 200-yard max range finder for deer and larger game animals. You can certainly range on other objects (trees, large rocks, buildings, signs, etc.) to get a good idea of how far out your target is but you’re still looking at 600 yards max. I hunt Whitetail with archery and a 30-30 in Northeastern Oklahoma where most deer are taken between 50 and 150 yards. I believe that’s the sweet spot for this product. If you need more, if you expect more, plan to pay more. -Ken Andrews
3. Bushnell BoneCollector 850 Laser Rangefinder

Highlight: TRUE COLOR FOR ACCURATE COLOR REPRESENTATION: Fully multi-coated optics with ultra-wide band coatings provide bright, true-to-life colors.
Constructive Review: Wow. I suddenly know how far things are away. Purchased for hunting but also used for golf as well as to see how far away trees in the neighborhood are. Most of them are closer than I realized.
This has helped me better estimate distances since I will guess and then use the range finder. It’s a toy and a tool. I hunted and golfed for years without one, but it does help pass the time sitting in a tree stand and determining my effective range. -TraciHope
Trending Review: Good quality range finder for price. Husband loves it!
We were looking for a range finder that wouldn’t break the bank, nor be a cheap piece ya know. We were looking for help with distance accuracy during target practice w/o having to walk up and measure in between. My husband practically handed me the Wife of the Year Award when this arrived. -Marcina
Reassuring Review: I just received this range finder and I went out and tested it with my bow at 15yrds,25yrds,35yrds, and 45, yards it was spot on and my arrows were hitting my deer target and I love how accurate it even though it doesn’t come case I still give it five stars there’s no downfall with this rangefinder I love it. -Eddie hill
4. Gogogo Sport Vpro GS06CA Hunting Rangefinder

Highlight: Durable, Compact, and Convenient: The rangefinder is designed with a sleek camo pattern, blending seamlessly into outdoor environments.
Constructive Review: I bought this disposable rangefinder for $71 when I realized I had lost my beloved Sig Kilo and had an upcoming hunt later in the week. All in all, I’ve been extremely satisfied, as it easily ranges animals to 400 yards, and large reflective surfaces double that consistently. Unlike more expensive range finders its performance varies a lot with light conditions – the darker it is, the better it works. At night I was able to range rock sides out to 1800 yd! I was also happy that my unit ranged right in the middle of the reticle – sometimes even nice units can be off a little bit, but not this one. Also, like with all laser range finders, regardless of price, the ranges are accurate to within a yard or so. It ranges fast.
In golf mode, it gives both true range and angle. It also offers that dinky “horizontal distance” if you’re too lazy to use a proper ballistic calculator and don’t care so much about wind drift. Furthermore,e It is not waterproof, and the yardages are not illuminated, so hard to see during low light conditions. No good way to put a retention loop on it. Optically it’s poor light transmission and not a very clear picture. Again, you paid 71 bones for it, what did you expect? -Smith
Trending Review: The Gogogo Sport Vpro 6X Hunting Laser Rangefinder is a game-changer for outdoor enthusiasts seeking precision and reliability. Its camo design not only looks great but also blends seamlessly into outdoor environments. The device offers impressive accuracy with its distance-measuring capabilities, making it indispensable for hunting and bow ranging.
The 6X magnification brings distant targets into clear focus, enhancing your chances of a successful outing. Easy to use, with a comfortable grip and a user-friendly interface, it’s perfect for both seasoned hunters and novices. The addition of features like speed measurement adds further value. Durable, compact, and lightweight, this rangefinder promises to be a trusted companion on all your adventures. -Mandi
Reassuring Review: I got this thinking that for the money I spent, I would probably have an accuracy of distance + or – 3 yards every 50 yards. So I did not have high expectations for this range finder. Got it just recently. Unpacked it. It’s very lightweight so I thought it was cheap, and more of a toy than an actual range finder. I took it outside where I know the distances in my neighborhood. The first thing I pointed it at was a stop sign 30 yards away, and it was spot on. So I pointed it at another object that I knew was 75 yards away and it was spot on. So I said cool, pointed it at another object 100 yards away and it was spot on. Wow, this thing is great I thought to myself.
So I pointed it at an object that I knew was 200 yards, and it was off by 1 foot. For the price I spent on this, it is amazing. The only bad thing I can say about this range finder is that it lacks a user guide. I had to mess around with it for about 20 minutes and got it figured out. For the price of this range, you can’t beat it. I would recommend this to family and friends and anyone who is inquiring about it. It also has a neat little carrying case that comes with it so you can either clip it to your backpack, or purse or belt loop on your pants. it also has a belt loop on the back so you can loop it through your belt. -Jesus
5. Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03 Laser Golf/Hunting Rangefinder

Highlight: Fast and accurate measurement with 1-yard accuracy, one-button measurement switching (Yard/Meter/Feet)—one button to change 3 modes.
Constructive Review: The GS03 Laser Golf/Hunting Rangefinder is a game-changer for any golfer or hunter seeking precise distance measurements with ease. With a range of up to 1000/1200 yards and 6X magnification, it offers an ultra-clear view, ensuring accurate readings every time. Its user-friendly design sets this rangefinder apart, making it incredibly easy to use even for beginners. The inclusion of features like Slope, Pin-Seeker, Flag-Lock, and Vibration further enhances its functionality, ensuring accurate readings even on challenging terrain or with moving targets.
Despite its impressive capabilities, what truly makes the GS03 stand out is its affordability. Compared to other rangefinders on the market, it offers the same level of performance at a fraction of the cost. Its lightweight and compact design makes it convenient to carry around the course or in the field, without adding extra bulk to your gear. Additionally, its budget-friendly price tag means that if you happen to misplace it, it won’t sting as much as losing a more expensive model. In summary, the GS03 Laser Golf/Hunting Rangefinder is a budget-friendly yet high-quality option that delivers exceptional results, making it a must-have for any golfer or hunter looking to improve their game without breaking the bank. -Elsdoesgolf
Trending Review: Both Rangefinders have several features that are essential in any rangefinder. Carry strap, replaceable battery (very important so you can carry a spare), very very clear optics, and accuracy. And also important for targeting selectivity, these all use only two lenses. This means that the diffraction limit for the laser optics is much tighter than other brands with a small laser emitting lens, resulting in a tighter and brighter sensitive area. Comparing both to my very expensive LEICA Rangemaster 2400-R, all three rangefinders read 118.9 yds at the same target. I cannot detect any difference in optical clarity among the three are superb. Both the Leica and the Vpro hunting have illuminated reticles. However, the Vpro hunting adapts brightness to conditions (it is the model with the tiny lens set between the two primary lenses). Both GOGOGO models easily acquire trees at 750 yards. The scan modes are particularly useful as you can hold the acquire button as your hand inevitably moves, so you can see all the ranges over the area of motion, enabling one to select the one required. The Camo Vpro is listed as a hunting and golf rangefinder and it is indeed so with its horizontal distance computation and golf range corrections. It also has a golf mode which works quite well on fence posts (I don’t play golf but if I did, either GOGOGO model would be excellent I think.
Even though GS03 is listed as for hunting, there are two major problems for hunters. One is that the magnet is not removable. The magnet is so strong that it plays havoc with a compass. Two, there is no horizontal distance mode, a minimum requirement for hunting. I do note that it is very accurate, gives identical readings to my Leica, and does have very very clear optics. However, its range seems greater. So great for golf. -Chris
Reassuring Review: This rangefinder is awesome and easy to use! The price is great and so is the quality. During my last hunting trip, I compared it to my buddy’s range finder. It was spot on with his. It even had better quality of frame. Needless to say, this range finder outperformed the much more expensive range finder he bought at a local hunting store. Extremely happy with this purchase. -Tony Cano
6. WOSPORTS Hunting Rangefinder

Highlight: The M2 Mode is Bow Hunting Mode: Angle, Height, Horizontal Distance which is suitable for hunters and shooters.
Constructive Review: If you’re reading up on this piece of equipment, please read this review!!! If you want a great range finder at a good price, this is the one for you hands down. No need to try and compare other ones because this will be worth the buy. I am so pleased with this purchase. This is perfect for people on a budget needing a range finder. I use it for hunting and target shooting very often. It has the golf mode, I haven’t taken it golfing, I’ve used it on fence posts and it locks in that way. I’ve ranged 600+ yards with this thing just playing around and it reads it. It has a focusing knob on the sight that helps with distances. Accurate in my mind, reads in decimals, not full yds. So 24.3 yds. 25.2 yds. 31.7 yds. And so on. I needed a range finder but didn’t want to drop big money on one. This has been worth every penny. I bought it in July or August of 2019. And it’s October 25 2020 now. Haven’t changed the battery yet. (Will probably crap out on me in the middle of my next hunt now that I jinxed myself) It reads the distance instantly, reliably, and accurately. If you have small objects in the sight path of your desired target like small limbs, leaves, or tall grass. It will range them, so be sure it’s on the target. Just hold it steady and it will read fine. Probably just like any other range finder out there on the market.
On the Foggy Dusky mornings, it has trouble reading or won’t read at all, which I understand. I’m sure all range finders do that. I’ve used a Bushnell range finder before and I prefer this one WOSPORTS 10 to 1. I am very happy with this and how well it has performed over the past year. It comes with a carrying pouch, wrist strap, battery, and cleaning cloth for the lenses. Very compact, and fits in your pocket if you like. I carry mine in my hunting bag. I’ve had it in the rain before. I try not to hold it out in the elements the entire time, just when I need to use it. So to me, it is very durable! Like I said previously. I am very pleased with this piece of equipment and recommend it to anyone!!!! -Marcie
Trending Review: This basic rangefinder is super solid and more than worth the price. No bells and whistles (e.g. distance adjusted for angle, etc.); just reliable, simple, accurate distance measurement. It feels a little big in the hand (vs. other more expensive and ergonomic models). However, it is light and the finish on the device gives a little friction so it does not slip. (A more expensive competitor is a nice rangefinder but is slippery and light so doomed to fly out of your hand at some point!). The visibility of the readings is superior to that of some other RFs that cost twice as much. It is early days still, but the accuracy of the measurements seems quite reliable and repeatable.
I was seriously tempted by far more expensive models–I love high-quality tools and devices. There is no doubt that the super high-end RFs (e.g. Vortex, Leupold, etc) are amazing, however, the key question is this: How (and how frequently) are you going to use this? In my case, I will use it every month or two to range targets and perhaps a time or two to hunt every season. However, I’m just an average shot so I will be able to see at a glance whether I should take the shot or not without having to rely on an RF. So it is just a tool to satisfy my curiosity and better train my eye to more consistently calculate distances. For such uses, this Range Finder is rock-solid. I just returned another RF that cost more than twice as much after a head-to-head test because I fully preferred this more economical model. (And I was fully prepared to keep the more expensive model). This is a great little unit and quite a deal at the price. -Clan Gardner
Reassuring Review: I am updating my review on this because the seller was rather excellent about my issues and resolved them effectively. This is a very nice range finder and provides the angle of the target as well as the distance. It is clear, fast, lightweight, compact, and well-made. I highly recommend it. The bow hunting range finder is a great tool to have when hunting. The standard range finder is also quite nice, but I need the angle of the target, which the bow-hunting version provides. -J. Hill
7. TIDEWE Hunting Rangefinder with Rechargeable Battery

Highlight: You simply point the target, push a button, and you get almost instantaneous precision range data on an easy-to-read LCD. Short press the MODE button to select a different mode. Long press the Power button to scan the distance.
Constructive Review: I bought this over a year ago for archery ranging and it was perfect. I used a tape measure and measured out exactly 25 yards and then tested out the range finder and it was accurate to basically 0.1 yard. Very easy to use and the case it comes with is great too.
Come next year and next hunting season I went searching for this but I couldn’t find it anywhere around the house. I gave up and ordered the same one again. Again it’s perfect and does the job perfectly.
I went outside the other day and somehow found it buried under some leaves by a tree. It had been sitting there for almost a year, exposed to the elements. It was covered in dirt and cobwebs and the case was musty and pungent. I pressed the power button and, unbelievably, it turned right on and gave me an accurate range. Anyway now I have 2 of these and I likely won’t ever have to buy one again! -Shuaybi
Trending Review: The question you have to ask yourself is what will be my main use of the rangefinder? It is not the same for playing golf, hunting with a bow and arrow, or hunting at 300 or 400 meters. I have been testing it at different distances, and it is quite accurate. TIP: Before measuring, challenge yourself to evaluate how far away a certain object is, ONLY THEN use the rangefinder, this way you will quickly learn to calculate the different distances. Since I live in Argentina, one important feature (among others) that tipped the balance in favor of TIDEWE was that it charges through a USB port; that way I don’t need to buy an adapter for a different voltage. -Miguel Corsi
Reassuring Review: Very impressed with the accuracy of this rangefinder. Stands up to my name-brand (and more pricey) vortex rangefinder without any noticeable difference. This one displays down to the 0.1 yd. It’s rechargeable with an impressive use time between charges. Not a huge fan of needing to keep track of another charging cord, but that is a small inconvenience for how well this thing works. Also, my previously mentioned vortex rangefinder requires a non-standard-sized battery that needs special ordering for replacement anyway – I’d rather have the option to recharge instead of having to order some specially sized battery when needed. -Brian Louks
8. Gogogo Sport Vpro Green Hunting Rangefinder

Highlight: Designed for hunting and can measure both distance and speed. Provides distance data needed for accurate shots to avoid spooking your target. Give you an amazing experience of hunting.
Constructive Review: It’s worth every penny and is accurate. Light is very important in measurements. One afternoon I was able to measure a concrete structure at a distance of 1573 meters! I couldn’t believe it and I checked on Google Earth, and bam! Unbelievable but true. This was 500 meters more than the catalog value. On the other hand, if there is strong sunlight reflecting from the surface or if it is glass, it cannot take measurements. Even in this state, it exceeded my expectations. It has a light, stylish texture and color (I have green). I am absolutely satisfied and I have to thank the consumers who have guided me with their comments here. -Metin
Trending Review: I’ve used this rangefinder in both hunting and target shooting situations and so far it has performed flawlessly! The glass quality allows you to see what you’re ranging even in low light conditions. For example, I was able to see a deer standing against some brown brush at about 450 yards (438 thanks to the rangefinder) a few minutes after sunset. At the range, I’ve been able to consistently range a 6” target out past 200 yards free-handed as long as I’m steady. The rangefinder hits its limit for consistently ranging individual objects at about 650 yards, but I have gotten accurate ranges out to 920 yards. -Tolman
Reassuring Review: I love this rangefinder. I will speak volumes for it now especially after I had dropped it off my hunting backpack and it laid in the woods for 2 days through heavy thunderstorms then when I found it again on my walk-in for yesterday’s hunt it worked perfectly without a single flaw. That’s when I decided I am certainly writing a review now. I love how it quickly scans deer constantly when you’re getting ready to aim at your target.
I would say my only con is… And I believe I have seen others mention this already is how it’s not friendly to those who wear glasses. However, I am fine with it though I can read the yardage by slightly adjusting so I can see it better with my glasses on, and it does what I need it to. I do wish it had a setting to swap to red LED when it’s lower light but honestly, it hasn’t been too hard to read in lower light conditions and it’s very clear. I am happy with my purchase and will stick with buying more of these guys in the future when needed and as a gift for other hunters in my life. -Christy
9. AOFAR HX-700N Hunting Range Finder

Highlight: The AOFAR HX-700N rangefinder has two basic modes: Range and Speed. It is a very cost-effective rangefinder for beginners. It is suitable for hunting and can easily identify target objects.
Constructive Review: Although I have not yet had a chance to use the AOFAR HX-700N range finder in the field, I am confident that it will perform as advertised. Upon arrival, I opened the box, took out the instructions, and read them. They were easy to read and follow. Next, I took the unit outside and gave it a try, It was spot on and so easy to use. I can hardly wait for turkey season and then deer season! At least now if I don’t hit the target, I will know it wasn’t because I misjudged the distance. -Happy Camper
Trending Review: I bought it with the concern that a cheap one wasn’t going to work as well as an expensive one. Realized I could just return it if I don’t like it. I tried it out and love it. I use it to hunt and range it between 15 yards to 300 yards and works great. If you are a bow hunter, recommend getting this.
It is about the size of a pop tart, maybe a little smaller, and seems to be accurate. -Baris
Reassuring Review: Why do people spend hundreds of $$$ on rangefinders that go out to 2000 yards when they only shoot at 200-400 yards I’ll never know. Most of my hunting extends to 400 yards and this thing for the price is dead accurate. Can’t go wrong with the price point. Just don’t expect to do any long-range stuff. If you trying to do real-world hunting situations this thing is perfect. -Ryker
10. AOFAR HX1000 Range Finder for Hunting Archery

Highlight: Simple and easy to use, press and hold the “POWER” button, and you can easily grab targets near and far at different distances and tell the target distance accurately and quickly. Add more opportunities to your experience.
Constructive Review: I’ve had it out a few times since then. love it. it’s fast and amazingly accurate. I’ve been able to easily range targets of varying sizes, distances, and light conditions, including several guys out in a small boat fishing on a misty, overcast day. -Xu Zheng
Trending Review: I recently purchased this range finder and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed, especially considering its affordable price point. This device exemplifies that good quality doesn’t always have to come with a high price tag.
The range finder is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, making it a breeze to operate even for beginners. One of the standout features for me is the ability to easily switch between yards and meters, catering to different preferences and scenarios. This flexibility is a huge plus, especially for those who are used to one measurement system and find themselves needing to switch to another.
In terms of design, the range finder is lightweight, which is a significant advantage when you’re out hunting and already carrying other gear. It doesn’t add any noticeable weight to my equipment, making it easy to carry around for extended periods. Despite its lightness, it doesn’t compromise on sturdiness and feels well-built.
When it comes to performance, it does the job exceptionally well during hunting trips. The accuracy is reliable, and it’s quick to lock onto targets, which is crucial in hunting situations where timing can be everything.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. It’s a great blend of affordability, quality, and functionality. I would recommend this range finder to anyone looking for a cost-effective yet high-performing addition to their hunting gear. -Kasper
Reassuring Review: I was not looking for a high-end hunting rangefinder for myself as I already have a Sig Sauer KILO2200, I was just trying to find a “good” entry-level one for my son, he started going into the woods with me from time to time now. This one is perfect for him, good price, nice build quality, and is easy to use, I compared it with my KILO2200, and got almost the same speed and the same results within 600 yards, what else you would expect for less than $100? P.S.
I found some other entry-level models with built-in rechargeable batteries, but my advice is – don’t buy those, A rechargeable battery doesn’t hold energy for more than 3 months, however, a Duracell CR2 battery lasted 3 years in my KILO2200 and still shows one-third left, I don’t hunt every week, I don’t want to find out my rangefinder’s super fancy rechargeable battery doesn’t have any juice while I’m pointing it to a deer in the middle of nowhere of a woods. -Oliver Gao
